Do I Need Travel Insurance for a Comped Casino Trip or Cruise?

Compare and Buy Travel Insurance

If you are a comped player you may be wondering… Do I need travel insurance for my comped trip and how does it work?

Let’s start with why purchasing a policy for your booking is a great idea:

  • If you need to cancel your vacation and have already booked flights or hotel arrangements or other pre-paid and non-refundable trip expenses, having travel insurance can help you reduce the risk of losing all of the funds you've paid towards securing those reservations.

  • A travel insurance policy can help cover yourself or your loved ones if you find yourselves in need of medical care or hospitalization while overseas

  • Travel insurance can help reimburse you for the remainder of your trip should you become ill and no longer able to travel and/or finish your cruise.

  • If severe weather cancels flights or causes damage to your travel destination, travel insurance can reimburse your canceled trips.

  • Lastly, If you were to lose your job or are required to work during the time that your trip was scheduled, travel insurance can help reimburse that lost trip for you.

Now let's get to how you should purchase the insurance for your trip. We recommend using our preferred partner at https://www.travelinsurance.com/?utm_source=pap&a_aid=5ce4645b13564

If you are fully comped by the casino, you will enter $0 as your trip cost when quoting. You do not need to include the port fees and taxes that were paid to secure the reservation. If you were discounted, you’ll put the total cost excluding your port fees and taxes. When selecting the Primary Destination within the quote form, you'll select your destination country from the list. If on a cruise, you’ll select the first country of entry.  If you are traveling, not by cruise, and visiting multiple countries, choose the destination that you will be spending the most time during your trip. (You will still be covered when visiting other countries from your specified departure date through your return date). Then you’ll add your trip dates, number of travelers, age of travelers, residence and citizenship info, and lastly, the date you paid for your trip.

Once you submit the form   Travel Insurance will then show you available insurance quotes to be able to compare plans, see different levels of coverage, and purchase.
