The food is good and the ambience is worth the trip. The wine list leans heavily to fruity California wines, but they have a decent selection of those.

First time there, hidden Jem, food was amazing, martini was perfect. wonderful decor and atmosphere, very eclectic.Bathroom was big and very clean.
Down fall was the beer was not that cold nor the white wine and the water tasted a little funky.

Ambiance and waitress was up to par. The establishment was nice. The steak was very large and cooked as i ordered it (most of it), medium. The steak was lacking in flavor and i was a bit disappointed because of that. I would be willing to try them once more because every other detail about The St. Charles Place was wonderful other than the bland steak. I hope that was just one of those things... I can't imagine a place that got so many things right could get a steak wrong. My date had the lamb chops and the sample that I had was excellent and my lady agrees.

Absolutely loved the experience. The environment is super cozy and welcoming. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable. The staff was kind and attentive. I would recommend stopping by even for just a drink or two.

Awesome experience. Food is awesome and the service is top notch. The owner is very interesting and friendly. The setting is eclectic and very fun but not distracting. Check it out. You're going to have a great time.

Held off on visiting for the longest time but they really surprised us. The food is top notch and the service is very good. My girlfriend loves the decor and the atmosphere is very cozy.
This is one of the few places that I'm going to miss now that I'm moving out of the St. Charles area.

This place is an absolute treasure. My family and I have been coming for years, and no one, EVER has had a bad meal. I brought my 2 kiddos in for dinner tonight and realized I haven’t ever written a review.
Service is top notch, steaks are amazing, very cool swanky vibe but not so swanky that you can’t bring the little ones. My favorite meal is the spaghetti and meatballs with cognac sauce, just unbelievable. Best saganaki around. Stiff drinks for daddy, good wine list for mommy, amazing warm gooey rolls for the kids. My family has so many fond memories of dining here, don’t miss an opportunity to eat at St Charles place. Thanks for all the memories!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary. We both were wanting a good steak, and I had heard great things about the food, so we decided to give it a try. The service was great, but the food was definitely lacking. First they had no mid grade ribeye, it was either 2lbs or nothing. Fine, I'll get the $50 NY strip, but unfortunately it was under cooked and the sides were not much to be desired. My husband got the Steak adding a lobster tail, which doubled the price of his dinner. He could have just got a separate dinner and got sides with it. I thought the lobster tail was rather small. Had it not been for the great service, I would give this place 2 stars. I don't mind paying for great steak and lobster, but I do mind paying the price for great food, but only getting a step above mediocre at best.

Went to a baby shower today, food was wonderful! We had warm croissants w/raspberry butter, large fruit platter. Then ham and cheese quiche, w/delicious roasted potatoes & salad with walnuts and raspberries Italian dressing. Everything was wonderful. I am sure regular meals , would also be just as wonderful!

First of all pricey.....but it's worth it. Great food . Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of space and parking. We stopped there on our way home because we were hungry. No reservations were needed but they do take them if you need it. Dress was casual. But I could see this as a dressy place. I would recommend this place.
