Paul Simon started his musical career in 1964 with Art Garfunkel, performing as Simon & Garfunkel, before moving on to solo success in the '70s and beyond. A songwriting powerhouse, Simon found great commercial success with his 1986 album “Graceland,” inspired by South African influences. The album contained some of his most popular songs like the titular “Graceland” plus “You Can Call Me Al” and “Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes.”
