Casino Comp Questions with Craig Vol 19.

December 2020 Cruises Canceled

Everybody that had something booked in December now has to rebook it. The options depend on the cruise line. So with Royal Caribbean, they came up with a new offer that you would have received in an email from URComped. If you don't see it, then check your spam folder. If you had free play on your December cruise, that will not roll over because it was directly affiliated with the previous offer you booked your December 2020 cruise on.

For Celebrity Cruise Line, you would have received an email with a list of sailings to choose from to rebook.  Reply to the email and let your URComped host know which sailing you would like.

With MSC Cruises, If you want to rebook, you need to move fast while those reservations are still open. They could close at any time and your reservation will automatically be refunded. We can switch you to any comparable sailing in 2021. The only small caveat is if you want to book a holiday sailing in 2021 there is a surcharge that they didn't have in 2020.

Are simulated sailings going to happen?

With the new CDC order that came out, the cruise lines have to do a number of simulated sailings before normal passengers can start sailing. It is essentially a run-through or practice cruise.  Several people are asking if they can volunteer to be on the simulated sailings. And that's something that I'll definitely ask our contacts because I think it'd be fun. I'd love to see what they're planning on doing. It really hasn't been that long since the CDC released that document, so the cruise lines are still working through exactly how they're going to go live. So stay tuned...

How do casino comps at Hard Rock Punta Cana work?

Hard Rock Punta Cana is one of our new partner casinos. They do have a higher criterion being that they are all-inclusive. They ask players to set up a bankroll, whether it be a credit line or wire money ahead of time or do something to establish when you arrive that you have funds to play with, because it is not within the United States. In Las Vegas, you're in the United States and it is easy to access funds. Whereas overseas, some banks are different. They don't want to offer all this comp stuff to a player who ends up not being able to access funds and don't play.  So casinos in the Caribbean and overseas tend to ask for more assurances upfront that there's going to be a bankroll.

So with hard rock Punta Cana you'll get a discount casino rate, and then based on your play on the trip, they will comp on the back end. They have, they have an equation that they go off of. It's gonna be a great deal, all-inclusive, and then at the end of the trip, they will review based on how much you played, you'll get additional comps off that home to celebrate.
