Vaccinated and Unvaccinated Cruise Policies (Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruise Lines)

As of December 3, 2021: For ROYAL CARIBBEAN AND CELEBRITY CRUISE LINE: All guests over the age of two, regardless of vaccination status, will now be required to present a negative COVID-19 test result at the time of embarkation.
Starting on or after December 17, 2021, for guests ages 2-11, they will only accept a negative PCR TEST REUSULT to satisfy the Pre-Cruise testing requirement.
Additionally, instead of taking a PCR test at embarkation, unvaccinated guests age 2 - 11 will receive a complimentary antigen test. This change will allow for a smoother start to our young cruisers' sailing and embarkation. These protocols are subject to change and we’ll keep you informed. Vaccinated guests ages 12 and over must present a negavite PCR or Antigen test that was taken no more than 2 days prior to the sailing. No testing is required for guests under age 2.

*Please note that health protocols are expected to change over time. Guidance for other ports and sailings is still in development with federal, state, and local authorities. As the number of positive cases declines, more people are vaccinated, and different regions update their requirements – we’ll continue to share our updated protocols.

US Travel Requirements as of June 24

All sailings departing the U.S. are subject to guidance from the CDC. Celebrity Cruises will continue to abide by CDC guidance and require all guests, 12 years and older to be fully vaccinated with all initial COVID-19 vaccine doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing.  To comply with this requirement, documentation of full vaccination must be provided at the terminal as a condition for boarding. COVID-19 Booster Vaccine shots are not required to sail on Celebrity Cruises.

Celebrity will sail with all crew and guests who are eligible fully vaccinated. Children who have received one dose of a vaccine (other than Johnson & Johnson) will not be considered fully vaccinated.

Only vaccines that are fully approved or authorized for emergency use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the World Health Organization (WHO) will be accepted. The CDC will now also recognize as fully vaccinated, all guests with a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines taken within a minimum of 28 days between doses: Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Sinovac or Sinopharm. Celebrity Cruise will not accept any form of Certificate of Recovery.

Testing

Out of an abundance of caution, Celebrity Cruises will be enhancing COVID-19 testing requirements for both vaccinated and unvaccinated guests. For US sailings departing through November 30, 2021, all vaccinated guests are required to present a negative COVID-19 test result at the time of embarkation. This test may be taken either as an Antigen or PCR test, conducted within two days of boarding the ship. Each guest is responsible for making their own arrangements with an accredited testing provider as well as covering all associated costs.

Currently, all fully vaccinated guests requiring a COVID-19 test to return to their home country will be provided the option to receive complimentary testing onboard prior to disembarkation. Proof of return travel scheduled within 24 hours of disembarkation will be required. This offering will continue for all existing bookings. As of Tuesday, November 16, 2021, for new bookings, home country re-entry testing will be available onboard for a fee of $55 per person for an Antigen test or $95 per person for a PCR test.

Unvaccinated children between the ages of two and eleven years old will be required to bring a negative Antigen or PCR test conducted within three days of boarding. These guests will have an additional PCR test at the terminal prior to embarkation and on the day before disembarkation. Please note, the CDC has advised unvaccinated guests cannot be tested twice in one day as it may affect the accuracy of the test results, therefore the COVID-19 test required before arriving at the terminal cannot be taken on boarding day. A registration link for required onsite testing at the terminal will be emailed separately.

Back to Back

Guests sailing on back-to-back cruises must show proof of vaccination and are required to take a COVID-19 test producing negative results between each sailing. Guests who are not fully vaccinated or are not eligible to be vaccinated, are not able to sail on back-to-back-cruises.
For guests sailing back-to-back on any Celebrity Cruises ship, complimentary testing will be provided onboard. Effective November 16, 2021, if sailing on another cruise brand, guests will be responsible for making their own arrangements with an accredited testing provider as well as covering all associated costs.
