POKER REVIEW - I was very disappointed with my visit to this venue. For a monopoly (almost) in a major city, on a busy weekend (Fri + Sat night) with 20+ NLHE tables running, I was surprised to discover the biggest buy to any of them was $500. I am not a high stakes player myself, preferring deep 2/5 and any 5/10 as a game of choice. But even I was incredibly frustrated to find the biggest NLHE game here plays as deep as a 1/2 at any other decent poker venue.
Are these restrictions a measure to prevent players going broke and keep games running longer?
Generally, the dealers and majority of the floor all seemed very nice, but my enquiries into the cap rules were met with antagonism; so I am posting them here instead.
tl;dr - I will not be going back in a hurry.

This was my first visit to a PA casino & was not impressed whatsoever. The machines were TIGHTER than two coats of paint!!!!!! The people working were RUDE & INATTENTIVE to the patrons needs. We will NOT return & will also spread the word of the horrible experience.

The River's machines are no tighter than other places. The wheelhouse food is awful, especially the fish sandwich and bite size wings but the buffet is very nice, especially, the crab legs and desserts. I have been there often and employees are all mainly friendly. It is the cleanest casino around. I would rate it a 5 star if it wasn't for the hypocritical Pennsylvania state commission; This place is a SMOKE HOUSE...I leave there with my eyes on fire from all the smoke. Here are political hypocrits who want to ban smoking on "for profit" businesses but when it comes to them, it is okay. Government at its Best: There is absolutely no reason smoking should be allowed indoors anywhere! I'm sorry mighty PA. government but not even in a PA. state run place. Pathetic how all phases of government continues to destroy society...
