Absolutely disgusting. There was no ladder so I literally had to jump to the upper bed. Also the bed looks so dirty and dodgy that I was worried about bed bugs all night.
Plus there were only two bathrooms and the drain was full of dirty hair which was so disgusting. Staffs were nice though but I'm not staying there again under any circumstances.

My 3 days spent at A Venice Fish was fun. The Hostel is centrally located and the staff was great! There was a traffic jam in the morning for the bathrooms, so shower the evening before, and that will help. The central room was a great place to meet everyone, share stories and eat. They served dinner for those who wanted to eat in, and the meals were very good.
There was a young american guy working there and he took all the beds apart to clean and disinfect daily. The sheets, and coverlets were changed daily as well. I figured out the washing machine and was able to wash some of my things.
Because of the central location, everything was an easy walk. Venice isn't that large of a city anyway. But the location made getting around to everything a leisurely walk. I enjoyed my stay, met so many awesome people and the staff was great!

The hostel has an excellent location with respect to the train station and it is very reasonably priced. The staff are very helpful and polite.
Beware though, they have a serious bed bug infestation. I woke up covered in bites and squished several that were camping in the zippers of my backpack. Make sure you wash everything on high heat after staying here.
