Hadn't been there in several years...we had a great waitress; her service was attentative and accommodating. The food was delicious and a good portion that left you feeling full but still room to share some dessert! The assistants also were very prompt at clearing dishes, extra garlic bread, water etc. Very busy so a reservation is a good idea. The decor is nothing fancy but you don't go there for that... casual atmosphere...a nice menu with a good selection... enjoy it if you go!

Really nice place. Great atmosphere. Good for date night, family. Business lunches. Moderate prices. I had lasagna- excellent, had a lot of ground meat in it - about 10$ . A few kids there so they are welcome. Good wine selection and several coffee choices. Waitress was so nice. The first head they brought us was a little hard. We left most of the crusts but second plate was very soft. Next time we will probably ask for soft bread. Both had good flavor though. Definately recommended.

Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive hostess. Server seemed a bit overwhelmed or just didn't want to be there. Soft talker and came across like it was a chore rather than a job. Food was very good. Red sause was a tad tangy, did not taste homemade, bottled for sure. Complimentary toasted garlic bread was a nice touch. All in all, I would recommend. Dining room and bar area had a very nice comfortable feel. They also have outdoor seating, which we will try if we go back again.

My family and I have been coming to Uncle Sal’s for 10 plus years. It is a tradition on my mother and aunt’s birthday to lunch here every year. They were sat at a table for 4 in the bar area because my husband was to meet us. He was caught up at work and ended up not being able to join. The woman tending bar yelled at us and told us we had to move from the table because we were no longer a party of 4. The majority of her bar and all of the dining area was empty so it made absolutely no sense that she would be kicking out 3 paying customers from her section. She made a huge scene when I asked to speak to her manager who was not there and told us if she was us she would just leave and proceeded to get her regulars at the bar to chime in and insult us as well. It was the most ridiculous and insulting experience I’ve ever had in my 36 years of life! She completely ruined an annual tradition which had in the past always been a pleasant experience. I have worked in the service industry for several years and I’ve never seen anything so uncalled for. Don’t EVER dine here if you expect to be treated like a human being let alone a customer.

Uncle Sal's is a neighborhood institution with good reason. It is a reasonably priced white tablecloth traditional Italian place. Service and food are both excellent. Well, full disclosure I almost always have a delicious pasta so I don't know the whole menu, but I've heard very few complaints from my companions about the non-pasta menu. The nicely separated bar is always very lively and has it's own limited menu. U.S. definitely leans toward the 50+ crowd, at least for dinner, but they're mostly all rich white baby-boomers who know how to have a good time so it's a fun atmosphere. Whatever your age, I highly recommend Uncle Sal's!
