My wife and I ate at La Taverna for the first time on Saturday when we were just craving Italian food and didn't want to drive very far, and wanted something new. Usually I'd head to East Side Marios, but I wanted something a little different and a little better. I was not disappointed. We ordered the Lobster Cakes and Spaghetti Carbonara. Everything was excellent and cooked to perfection. Our waiter might have been a tad on the inattentive side, but we were having fun just sitting and talking so it was no problem. The food was so amazing I was able to overlook the waiter not coming over very often. The one thing that was a little disappointing was an Italian cocktail named "Il Ugo" that they sell. I thought it was something they crafted there, but instead it came out of a bottle and poured like a sparkling wine. It was really sweet and my wife didn't really enjoy it. I think they should scrap it. But maybe it's very popular and I have no idea what I'm talking about. Oops. Anyway, it's a bit on the expensive side so I don't think we'll go very often, but it is definitely a place to try out! Mange Mange!

Price is a little high in last time I was there . Also a little unresponsive at times. But on other occasions I had pretty good food and wine it seems they had different owners at the time when I was there. a few buildings up you can go to Nino's and get a comperable better tasting meal.

The food is excellent. The price is a reasonable. The wine selection good. First Fridays can be a little crazy. Go during the week. Service is excellent then. Why it's not listed in Google is beyond me. It tops most of the restaurants in the area.
