Overpriced BBQ, service was slow and food was just average.

I eat there at least every other month. The food is always, and without exception, awesome. The service varies but for food this good, I will tolerate spotty service. I wonder at the ratings people are giving this place because I love BBQ and eat all over. This is, by far, the best BBQ in the South Florida area. This place is expensive despite what "details" above indicates. They are not open Monday or Tuesday so plan accordingly. The brisket, spare ribs, and buffalo burger are all good. I'm not a fan of baby backs so I can't fairly rate them. The sides are excellent and the Indian Corn soup is superb. I've blogged about it and love it.

The spare ribs are worth a special trip. They are large, meaty, and juicy. A guy-girl team can actually share a half-order. Just make sure that they don't stick you with more than one end bone, because the meat on those is stringy and tough. The owner told me that the limit is one per order (I can live with that), so claim your rights if they are violated.
Brisket is excellent, pulled pork is average, back ribs are not as good as the spareribs and not worth the money.. Sides are more than adequate, but I wish for a larger portion of slaw.
Service was fast enough, and friendly, but it seems that the servers have a lot of tables to wait on.

THREE STARS NOT FIVE! This place is a native american/texas style BBQ restaurant. The food is good but with gator bites, frog legs and indian corn chowder as starters you get the idea of a slightly different perspective of the menu. I enjoyed the food but do not expect the homemade BBQ flavors you might be used to. I have never waited for a table or long for my order. This place is generally slow. Parking is ample at the Hardrock Hotel. Main courses and drinks range from reasonable to expensive.
