Skyway Deli

Ribs and brisket are not their specialty. Ribs were so tough I had to stop eating them because my teeth hurt. The brisket was chopped in a paper basket with paper liner floating is sauce. Sauce was the best thing about the meal but I couldn't even enjoy it because the meat quality was so poor. Especially for the price. $17 for half rack I expected way better quality. Bean recipe was unique but not BBQ beans. Mac was not too special. Cornbread kinda tasted like fishy hush puppies ehhh. I mean I'm sure they have some decent stuff on the menu but I don't recommend any of the BBQ. If it wasn't so expensive compared to other places I wouldn't be so critical.

The food was fantastic! I went back twice. For catfish gumbo cornbread and macaroni and cheese all of it was very good. And I'm going backagain next week with family.

Best gumbo ever. I returned the following Saturday and had the oxtail... I might be back every Saturday. Go early, they will run out quick. Keep it up AC. AC keeps it up every day. Brisket, oxtail, greens, mac and cheese, etc.. All so good. What's up. The gumbo was much better with the real crab. #nokrab

This was my first experience here. I had an online issue with the staff not making my order. The owner fixed it as best she could. I was happy in the end.

Updating review: the catfish is AMAZING! I'm from Texas and it tastes like something I'd get at home. The breading is spiced and has the right crunch. My brother got through gumbo, which was packed with high quality seafood, including crab. It was a smidge too salty but that was the only problem. We order from Angel City every few weeks. The food is good, some is excellent. The eating space in the restaurant is small, so we always get take out. Brisket and chicken are very good. Their spicy BBQ sauce has the right amount of heat. Sides are a little hit or miss- the baked beans we got were undercooked and the red beans and rice was bland. Stick to the meat- it is far better than the sides.
