I am not sure what happened to this place but all the fairways were dirt. They were spray painting it or something to make it look green. The greens and the tee boxes were nice but the fairways were a joke. I am not sure how they can sell this as golf.
1 word: Awesome! They bring the drink selection to you at your machine, like coffee, oj, soda etc. They have excellent customer service, they come to you to give you change and/or cash out your ticket. They'll serve you food at your machine too, it's Ka-razy! Very friendly staff! I really enjoyed myself, check it ot for yourself!
We go to the Sage Resturant inside and always enjoy the food. Sit at the tables over looking the little lake. Often we go down to the lake after to sitand enjoy the surroundings.
Ive played this course about 50+ times. So much fun. It's not too tough but when the course is in good shape it's amazing. Casino is right next to it. Summer days it can get HOT so be careful
Beneath the watchful gaze of the impressive Barona Creek Hotel & Casino building, Gary Roger Baird has laid out a stunning golf course. With all the openness and style of a top-class British links course, this impressive layout roams across a very natural and wide expanse of gently undulating terrain. In a relatively treeless environment, each hole has been skilfully crafted, with a mass of stylish bunkering and occasional water hazards posing a threat.
Played it on 12/15/17 and teed off at around 1230. Teed off on 10 because of a backed up 1st tee, but no biggie.
Pros:
Free range balls
Beautiful, fast greens
Cons:
Dead rock-hard fairways (painted green in order to make them seem playable), which is insulting
Price
I realize the time of year impacts the fairways, however, every other course I've played the last two weeks hasn't had that problem.
