Hey my brother and wife introduced TRU to us over 2 years ago and we love it. Typically we only go for drinks. A very unique environment. Love the student demographic, it's fun, relaxed and serene place to spend time with your favorite people!!!

Great place to grab a drink and just relax. Very chill vibe, can stay as long as you'd like. Outdoor seating is great and inside is cozy and comforting. You'll find some low-key cocktails, wine, and some beer, create-your-own salads and sandwiches, and not much else. A few snack-type foods but not really for small plates to share or anything. Lacks variety but makes up for it in atmosphere.

What a great place. Made to order sandwiches and salads. And a great beer list. Comfortable seating. No better place for a nice night out.

Great wine bar. The main food option is to build your own salad or sandwich so I recommend checking the menu before you go. Drinks are great and bartenders are very nice, friendly, and helpful.

I love the atmosphere, food and staff! Food is very tasty and relatively inexpensive for bar food. The salads are some of the cheapest and huge! Staff is friendly an engaging and they had good deals on wine when I was there. Definitely adding this place to my favorites.

Good food, great lighting, and classy bartenders. Everything about this place makes it a wonderful selection for everything from having a good time with friends to a casual first date.

I met some friends upstairs at Tru for drinks after a long day, and I loved the atmosphere. Relaxing in comfortable furniture outside and starting the evening with a welcoming (and handsome) bartender was lovely. Bustling without being noisy, and great wine. What's not to love?

Absolutely love this place. The drink selection is generous but not too convoluted; both wines and cocktails are of superb quality. The sandwiches and salads are all delicious, especially as they are made to order with the ingredients and styling of your choosing. The atmosphere is very open and accepting to people from all walks of life. I’ve heard TRU referred as the “LGBT bar” of UNC. Completely recommended!

The food is excellent! $5 cocktails on Thursdays! I’ve had a couple of mixups with my to-go sandwiches but the food is affordable and it’s a cute place to hang out with friends or to go to at night! Quick service!

Awesome place for a bottle of wine with your friends! Very social table setting, as well as you have the chance to retreat to the back. Friendly enough staff, however not all of them knows a lot about the wines. Can get quite busy!

I love love love this place. Great fresh sandwiches for a great price! Great environment. They have wine and cheese but no coffee :) other alcoholic drinks too

Wonderful wine bar with make your own salads and sandwiches. This is one of my favorite spots in Chapel Hill. They offer wine, craft beers on tap, and cocktails. Check for daily specials. Fridays are $4 bottles of wine and one other day if the week is $5 cocktails. The cocktails are always delicious and a good size. Highly recommended, the management and staff are great as well!
