The Gold Rush Café

I use to love this casino. Today I walked in expecting to be hit with a blast of cool air. What hit me was warm air and cigarette smoke. I thought grab a quick bite and an hours worth of gambling. I had 50 on me and was going to pull another 100. The ATM wanted $3.95 almost 4.00 to gamble in their casino. I can't believe they have a stinking Denneys for an anchor restaurant. It is highly processed, glorified TV dinners, nothing but the poorest quality food on the market! No real choices there. The casino, besides be hot was filthy. The machines were dirty, empty bottles and glasses, ashtrays that were dirty. Just grungy. The odds on the machines are the worst!! Even to play it is the high end on every machine. I gambled 20 of my 50 and never got a hit that said stay and play. The lady going by saying, cocktails! Did not stop when my hand went up. I wanted a water. You might as well ditch her and have self serve stations, and those that want drinks can push the service button. She is a total waste of your money. I use to love this place, it had that old Vegas feel. Now it just feels old and worn out and dirty. Needless to say, I won't be back. There are too many choices! Even Indian Casinos are a huge step up!! With better odds! Better food!! Cleaner amenities!!

I was staying the night as I was passing through. The truckers cdl rate is very affordable. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and they allowed my little dog. I'm not a huge gambler, but did play a little and won more then I lost. All and all I would recommend this place to anyone. I will be staying here when ever I come through.

The Gold Rush Café

One of my favorite places to gamble up. Much quieter much nicer environment and they have my favorite machines that the strip doesn't have which include the IGT machines. Staying in the rooms is nice too and a very good price about 20 minutes away from the strip

The Gold Rush Café

For the price, room was clean, pretty spacious, and beds comfortable. No WiFi except in lobby which I didn't find convenient. Bees were all over pool area because of pipes that are opened where the pool and spa are. Free breakfast at Denny's. Not too bad.

Do not stay here! I felt like I was living in a 1970s murder mystery. Everything about this place was grungy and old. My bathroom had splatters of unrecognizable matter on the walls. There were Hairs on the floor that didn't belong to me. The only thing that was somewhat decent was the bed. The sheets were clean and it was moderately comfortable. I would only recommend staying here if you are dirt broke and dont have a fear of catching some weird fungus from the bathroom. Personally I will not be staying here again.

When we made your booking we were not told that we would be charged an additional $10 for a refurbished room. The room also did not have television capabilities no remote so we read a book. The room was very nice and we didn't use any other amenities except for a to-go order from Denny's restaurant which was nice also. No valet service was available either.

We had dinner at Dennys. Our server was Christine. She was great. I have 5 rambunctious boys but she was awesome at helping us have a great night. Ran into Larry in the casino and he is the nicest guy ever.

GOOGLE DELETED 4 PHOTOS DOCUMENTING COMPLAINTS! 1 1/2 Stars. "Deluxe" 2 queen bed room. No refrigerator. Later told "deluxe" means more square footage. Stains on bed sheets. Clean but disgusting shower floor long overdue for refinishing. Mold stain on shower curtain. Wallpaper peeling off outside room door in hall. Lovely view of dirty linen carts out the window. Unauthorized DOG BARKING next door; easily heard thru adjoining door. A/C noisy. Casino Okay unless you play table games. Steakhouse 3 out of 5 stars. Denny's FIVE STAR (especially with included free breakfast tickets). Nice staff helpless in ability to address my issues or offer any kind of refund. Great memories of years gone by, playing and staying here, but no more. Beware of tour bus hell...

It's a decent place. Chill and laid back which is nice. The rooms could be improved. But the steakhouse inside is awesome.

We asked several times at check-in if the pool was open and were repeatedly assured it was only to find it locked and to eventually be told that it actually was not open. The only reason we stayed here was because of the pool. While the room was nice and the beds were comfortable, I would probably not stay here again because it just did not feel like the value was there for the price.

Been here a few times. Has plenty of space for tractor- trailers and they don't charge you to park. Dennys inside, along with a bunch of movie cars like back to the future, fast n furious, Batman etc. Slots seem fair , unless you EXPECT to win. I've won here and lost but never felt like it wasn't well spent for the entertainment. Employees I've encountered are polite as well. Hotel is huge and I plan on staying in a room next time I come. Minus one star for not having ticket or bill breaker machines otherwise this place is awesome.

We asked to see the room first. A very nice lady, who seemed to be head housekeeper went with us and showed us 3 different kinds of rooms. We choose a Standard, updated, room. To get the recently renovated rooms, it cost an extra $10. We were very satisfied. The bed mattress, pillows, and towels were all comfortable. We used and enjoyed the hot tub/spa as well.

Great friendly staff except for that African American woman with the bouncy curls.. She made sure after frowning when I gave her a big smile as she went by to be unwelcoming.. And then cruised by a couple more times just to make me feel uncomfortable.. Big fake smile to the boss tho... I'll be back but she should get dome training on hoe to make customers feel comfortable and not unwelcome.. Think she was a paper pusher.. I dealt craps for years she probably couldn't hang. I smile and welcome everyone..

Way outdated, would have been better off eating at Burger King instead of their Steakhouse. The staff is the best thing in there if you don't need any accommodations. Great for truckers and layover. The gaming is so so slots are a little tight. But it served it's purpose for the money. See ya all down the road.
