MGM GRAND Buffet

This buffet was amazing! We only experienced the brunch buffet but there was everything we could ever want...and more! Wait staff was also awesome! Very friendly and attentive. Could be thought of as expensive but we left so full, it was the only meal we needed that day. For us it was definitely worth the money. Enjoy!

MGM GRAND Buffet

Great variety on the buffet, which I appreciated, given the price point is easily the best value in the hotel/casino. Even for the dinner buffet, at the higher price point, you will spend about the same per person at just about any sit down restaurant, outside of the food court. The buffet itself was varied, with Chinese, prime rib, various pork cuts, southern classics. Let's be honest, 80% of the buffet is cheap comfort food, and the other 20% is why most people come. The dessert bar is small, with a good but not great selection. You can tell between this and the pastry snack stop, that unlike some of its contemporaries, this hotel doesn't have a good pastry / dessert chef. Instead, the selections are easy cake or cream affairs. Best results are had by coming early after lunch or dinner food is set out - or to brave the line to eat at peak times. At peak times you may need to wait for some dishes but you are guaranteed a freshness by virtue of the high turnover.

MGM GRAND Buffet

The food at brunch was decent but nothing with a wow factor or spectacular. If you're a foodie like I am there are much better options in this diverse city. I keep thinking a buffet will satisfy the foodie/health nut in me but I've yet to find one I think is worth it. However if you're into American fare that's loaded with gluten, sugar, fried, and greasy foods this could definitely satisfy you ;). That's not all that's offered by any means but that's a lot of it.

MGM GRAND Buffet

This buffet was so disappointing. It is one of the more expensive buffets but has less options and lower quality than others. Don’t waste your money here. Sushi had only one type available, and they looked old, refrigerated overnight. The eggs Benedict were served with lunch ham and on a soggy roll, not muffin. Everything was dried out from the heat lamps. We mostly went because the website said there was international cuisine. The Mexican food looked like gas station food, and I could only stomach one bite from flash frozen “burritos”. The Indian food had two horrible potato “dishes.” The Indian food tasted like it was actually minestrone with curry powder. They had an entire row of only steamed veggies! Why am I spending all this money to eat unlimited steamed veggies?!

MGM GRAND Buffet

Not worth 42.00 dinner. I've had better at a more better rate pp. Sweets station, cupcake and bars are dry. The snow crab was good and the service. Outside birds in dining hall. I'm going back to the Citizens @mandalay.

MGM GRAND Buffet

The Service: Servers were attentive. Constantly refilling the drinks and cleaning away the dirty plates. The Food: The food quality..... POOR! The dinner & brunch buffets are $33 including tax. They do have many varieties of food choice; however, the quality is like Hometown buffet. Quantity... but no quality! Many of the dishes are not flavorful, very bland. The meat section... very dry and overcooked. Seafood section.... not really fresh. Definitely won't try here again.

MGM GRAND Buffet

This buffet was just average to me. Nothing was bad but nothing stood out either. We ate here once a day with the free buffet promotion. The brunch was the best meal of the day by far. You can get eggs to order & the wait wasn't too bad. The staff keeps the place clean & are very friendly. Food selection is good too. I'm just not sure I would be eating there if we were paying full price for the meal.

MGM GRAND Buffet

This used to be one of my favorite buffets in Vegas. Unfortunately it has gone way way downhill. I feel sorry for the people who are staying here and need to eat here. The food was not great, in fact mostly not good at all. Slim choices for hot foods, and the desserts were like a crappy cafeteria. There were just a few items that I felt were even just good. It also peeved me that you are asked to give a tip when you check in, with set amounts. I chose 18%, and then found that you don't even get table service. You get your own drinks, and wait in line for house wine and beer. So what are you tipping for?? The line was so long we didn't even take advantage of the drinks either. MGM, you can do better than this!!

MGM GRAND Buffet

Great food, Crab Leg/Seafood Station was amazing and worth waiting in line to get the steamed option. Wide selection of desserts and clean dining area. Although the bar was only $9 to add on unlimited drinks, almost not worth it. I got a whiskey sour and couldn't finish; it was so strong it was not enjoyable to drink. Tried to get the Peach Bellini instead thinking it would be sweeter and easier to drink but it was almost sour tasting, I took it to go and left it somewhere in the casino.

This place is awesome,Great friendly, staff, rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. I especially loved how cheerful the Bartender James on the morning shift was at the sport bar passed whiskey down. I hope to get back there soon.

MGM GRAND Buffet

$42 per person and the food is trash. Most of it looks very appealing, however tastes equivalent to low budget school cafeteria food. All trays are sitting on hot plates to be kept warm, however a lot of dishes were cold? I do not recommend this buffet to anyone.

Food was only marginal at best. The crab claws we're fishy. TBH, I've had better food at golden corral. I guess if I was a drinker I would like it better since we unlimited beer and wine is included.

MGM GRAND Buffet

Got this free with our hotel stay which was bonus, so for us it was great value for money. Personally I’m not a fan of buffets as my portion size doesn’t warrant it, but my husband was in his element, meat heaven! The dishes were as expected, heated up food standing for a while, but considering it was free I can’t really complain too much. It’s not gourmet though but Free wine/beer with it, $32pp plus taxes and tip. Not badly priced but you get what you pay for (if you pay)

MGM GRAND Buffet

I this was a little expensive. But the food was good for a buffet. One thing I noticed is they had fresh hot crab every night we were there. We only ate dinner. Not breakfast or lunch. The cut meat area was mediocre. Brisket was good. The rest was dry and tasteless. Salad area is good. Not much choice for deserts for a buffet. You do get free beer and wine if you want it.

MGM GRAND Buffet

We ate here two weeks ago for the first time in two years. I am a vegetarian and my husband is a meat eater. He enjoyed his meal and loved having beer or wine included! I was super impressed at the fact that they are now labelling the foods as vegetarian and/or gluten free....such a small thing but it makes a huge difference to some diners. I was able to choose a lovely meal without worrying or having to find someone to ask. Overall, the food quality may not be considered high end by some reviewers, but we thought it was good quality, especially for the price. Also, the drinks are self serve which we completely prefer, so much better than having to wait for a refill in a busy restaurant. The restaurant was clean, the food fresh and service was good. We will begin making more effort to include this buffet in our Vegas visits after this positive experience. Totally enjoyed our meal!

MGM GRAND Buffet

Could not have been more disappointed. Chose this buffet because of the crab legs but didn’t even end up eating them because they were beyond disgusting. Horribly overcooked, discolored and pathetic overall. We were fine with the price only for the crab legs but for $32 a person, the only thing this buffet has to really offer worth that price was the beer and wine (too bad I don’t drink). Husband said the prime rib was decent... if you can eat $32 worth of it I suppose. Pretty sure our waitress checked to see if we left a tip on our credit card while we were at the buffet also (saw her checking the receipt on our way back - but we tip in cash) so when she saw $0, the service sure felt like she thought she wasn’t getting a tip. I mean to do the job that any normal busboy would do and still get a $12 tip... consider yourself lucky. Drinks are self serve so might as well ditch the servers, let people empty their own plates and drop the price. Otherwise, get some better quality food. Perhaps the vast amount of variety allowed the food to sit out way too long. Huge selection doesn’t necessarily mean good quality though. Expected better for an MGM brand.

MGM GRAND Buffet

This buffet is okay. The food is not particularly high quality or delicious. It is just mediocre. You have to get your own drinks and refills. We had breakfast and there was not a great selection of fruit, just whole apples and bananas and some sliced melon. It would be better if they at least sliced the apples or offered some berries. Boring selection. The buffet at the Paris casino was much better.

MGM GRAND Buffet

I gotta say, even by buffet standards this was not very good. Not the quality i would expect from a brand like MGM. The employees and service were both awesome, but it didn’t make up for the food. Even the desserts, which can often salvage a mediocre buffet were disappointing. You would be better off spending $35 at a good steak or seafood restaurant.

I went to this place specifically to try the buffet. Bad BAD VERY BAD!! Gave me upset stomach and stomach flue , Instantly! I told the hotel and they took my info and decided to call a few days later. I spoke to them about my visit and informed them about my experience. They asked for a receipt and I never received one. Which tells me that the cashier neglected to give me one in addition I paid cash. I informed them about my experience my location and my time also how I received a card from there manger. In the end they didn’t resolve it that night instead pushed it days after then gave the stupid excuse about not having a receipt. APPARENTLY THAT SAME NIGHT SOMEONE ELSE RECIEVED FOOD POISONING. Overall this place has terrible customer service plus the FOOD WILL GET YOU SICK!!!!

Eat here only if you want to pay out the rump for low quality, poorly prepared, and a low selection of food. Most things were lukewarm if not room temp. Potato salad had under done crunchy potatoes. Same with the butternut squash salad. Corn on the cob was old and gummy. Pot roast looked and tasted like dog food..literally, or those Hormel ready to eat dinners that require no refrigeration. No flavor in the mashed potatoes either. The Chinese selection was good. Chow mein was probably the most edible thing there. At 25 bucks per person we definitely felt robbed. This food is for drunk and drugged people who couldn't taste the difference and have money to lose. Your hometown Chinese restaurant is a goldmine compared to this place.
