Missing Image Of Ciera
I did not appreciate the smoky atmosphere. The service is good, but the food has gone downhill. Caesar salad dressing not mixed in well. Croutons stale. Salmon was overcooked and had a weird overpowering topping. Mashed potatoes were overwhelmingly garlicky. Asparagus was nice. Filet Mignon just ok. Dessert: I was so disappointed to see fake whipping cream (powder mix) on cheesecake and lava cake. That alone just brought the class level WAY down. Not going back

Rarely do I ever give out a 5 star rating on the first go around at any restaurant, so when I actually do, folks you want to pay close attention. My wife and I went in to Ciera Steak & Chophouse expecting your typical style steak house. 1st mistake on our part, I felt like I should of gone and changed into a suit, and my wife had only dreamt of being taken to a place so fancy. Steve our server made us feel right at home though. I do not drink but my wife had one of their Merlots and was in love with it. Alejandro, our secondary server helped my wife feel more like she did belong there. First most of the tables there are more like private dining areas with heavy curtains that help muffle any noise, but it's a cool temperature place. We started off with Salads her having the wedge with crumbled cheddar and bacon, I had the grilled avocado salad and for that bit if deliciousness I gave up my peppered vinaigrette dressing recipe. Then our main course was the chataubei for two. Both my wife and I looked at each other and a fully admitted that our favorite steakhouse had been dethroned from their place as number one. For that meal I ended up giving them my Honey Mustard Marinade and my Spicey Honey Marinade the latter having never been given out to anyone ever before. And the price of the excellent service and food was comparable to what we've been charged at Ruby River in Reno. Ciera Steak and Chophouse up at Montbleu at Stateline NV At lake Tahoe is a must go to well worth it. Steve and Alejandro thank you for the excellent service and to the chefs thank you for the perfectly cooked food.

Wow it was a busy weekend in Lake Tahoe. Pitbull on friday night and golf tournament at Edgewood. We had early reservations and we are so glad we did. We booked on open table and asked for a booth. To our pleasant surprise, the booth had floor to ceiling curtains for complete privacy. We started with the lobster escargot, next was French onion soup.... the broth was superbly made. Not salty at all. For the Entree, Chateaubriand for 2, perfect medium rare. Double espressos and cheese cake for desert. We spent almost 3 hours here, we started with giant martinis and brought a Duckhorn three palms Merlot to have with the chateau. Take your time and enjoy this fantastic steak house. Bon appetit

Totally worth it, especially considering the casino often give one away on your weekend getaway. Stop in the next chance you get. Don't forget to ask for a booth with a curtain if you're on a date, VERY romantic.

One of our favorite spots in Tahoe. The Prix fixe meals are great value with excellent food and amazingly attentive service. Semi enclosed booths a must to reserve for special occasions or just a romantic dinner.

Excellent food and service! Quiet and romantic atmosphere. I had the prime rib and my husband had the crab. It cost $260 for the two of us.

Delicious food! Very fancy and expensive. They do offer a prefix menu, $40 or $60, which was great for us! The staff was very friendly and the entire experience was wonderful!

Over rated. Over priced. Clearly a tourist trap. Food was on par, but service was no better than your average franchise restaurant. On surface, presentation looks appealing to what is expected of a fine dining steak restaurant, but once you are seated and service begins....the let-down begins. Portions of food are healthy for most items, but servers will push the most expensive menu items. I suggest you go with what you know. Side dishes are good, and healthy portions, so don’t go overboard. Again, if food is all you care about then you may like this place, though you are paying more money for service you will not get. Also, this restaurant is located in a casino that is heavy with smokers and late night has subpar Gogo dancers which you can’t avoid walking by. Clearly seems like a run down casino. Not sure if this will matter to you. and we had our 4 year old daughter which I had to explain who the dancing girls were and how not to make her money. Did not think finishing dinner would result in very early “you need to keep your clothes on discussion with my 4 year old..”

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The private dining area area with curtains gave us a VIP experience. The wait staff was super attentive and friendly and the food was phenominal. The bill was way under what I expected to pay in a restaurant of it's caliber. I will be returning again and again.

Chris, the manager has always been attentive and professional. My hat off to the chef. I keep coming back with different friends to try the food and wine. The lobster bisque is delicious. The filet mignon is out of this world. Thank you for the excellent service and food.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2014 at about 7 pm, we walked in expecting a stellar experience. Another prospective patron was already waiting to be greeted. We waited another 7 minutes and nobody came to the front to see if the other person or us or anyone was even there. We got irritated and decided that this lapse was not indicative of the 4 diamond rating that AAA gave this restaurant. So we left without ever even seeing a host. One should be greeted immediately in even a 3 star restaurant.

I am always a leary of restaurants in hotels, but this came highly rec'd. The service was on point! Neil Patricka and Neotane took great care of us. The food was Meh... The bread was amazing and the salad was really good but fell short with the main dish. I did a salmon and my wife chicken. Servers went the extra mile with us and were chatty.
