For the price The "prime" steaks are worth it. Underseasoned consistantly but usually cooked spot on to mid rare. The pasta isn't what it should be for the amount of Italian cuisine on the menu, but still worth it for the cost. The fried mozzarella appetizer is made from fresh mozzarella slices, always delicious. Bread with dipping oil leaves a lot to desired, but luckily the entree's make up for it.
Should be called ITALIAN RESTAURANT
Great pasta but otherwise skip it
Steak underseasoned and overcooked
The duck was massively made wrong... No. Crispy skin nonexistent and chewy like bazooka bubble gum... .GROSS
Bread is too tough and butter is salted
I would recommend only if you crave like Olive Garden style... Definitely not a steakhouse
Went tonight for the first time to celebrate my birthday, the food was very good. I did have to send back my beef tips over the noodles with burgundy sauce was not hot enough. Our waitress took it back and hardly checked on us after. I wasn't upset it wasn't hot enough and absolutely loved the food. She could have been more personable was not genuine but she did check on her other tables around us frequently not ours so much. We will be back for the food and atmosphere. Kudos LBV very nice job on the yummy food! Our appetizers, soup and meals were delicious!
Waited an hour for our food! Thought this would be as good or better then the one at Mountaineer. WRONG, service was terrible and food was nowhere close to Mountaineer casino. What a disappointment for an anniversary dinner! 😟😓
Had a very delicious dinner with my beautiful wife. The pricing wasn't out of this world and the experience of a night out at the casino was worth it. Very romantic atmosphere as well.
If you haven’t been here in awhile you definitely need to revisit. Prices are extremely good for “fine dining” and food is excellent. You just try the lobster bisque to start your meal. $20 for a bottle of Cabernet is cheaper than TGIFridays! The old la bonne vie was very expensive, the new lbv is just right!
So sad, erie has brought another restauraunt to sub par erie... lost the good dauphine potatos? Lost the french pressed coffee, we even lost the flourless chocolate cake, what? Not a high end steak house anymore. Go to cloud 9 if u r in erie.
My husband and I went to LBV for the first time last weekend. The service was top notch. We wanted a quiet dinner. We were greeted immediately on arrival. A young man came by and asked if we needing anything while we were waiting. A wonderful lady assisted us with wine and menu choices. I throughly enjoyed the bottle of wine which was a fair price. We both ended up with the filet. It was cooked to perfection. Sides were described and suggestions made. We appreciated all the suggestions. I was pleased to see that Creme brûlée was on the desert menu. A hard to find desert in this area. We were pleased with our table, situated in a corner with wrap around setting so we could sit next to each other. The music playing softly in the background provided the perfect setting. Well done and we will be back soon.
Our 12 year wedding anniversary and looking for a place to eat. Guess not here. They are closed on Sunday. I've never been here and would like to try it. Maybe in another 12, smh.
