It's a neet store full of things you want but don't really need. It predominantly a store for hipster chicks but there is also a children's area, a kitchen area, and even some dude like things here and there. Worth browsing if you have some time.

Compass Rose is my favorite place in Tacoma for browsing. It is a beautiful store filled with lovely things and the staff is lovely, too.

The cutest shop. Perfect for gift ideas and they wrap anything you buy. The place is popular to locals and can get packed.

Our favorite local shop to find quirky or sentimental gifts alike. You can stop in for everything from a collection of Unicorn accessories and the supplies to make a handmade card to a set of high end Le Creuset dishware and a card made by one of many local Tacoma artists. I have several pieces of beautiful jewelry from this shop and they processed a very fast replacement for a chain that was snagged by the dog and broke. Most places don't provide that type of service for human or pup error! My school aged daughter loves to roam Compass Rose just as much as I do. We could spend an afternoon getting lost in it's seemingly small space, exploring all of their newest offerings. If looking for a gift for (literally) anyone on your list or to spoil yourself, you must stop into this Proctor District destination.
