This was first visit since the 90s and the Flatiron exceeded expectations. If you find their every changing sign charming you should stop in. This place has it all, great atmosphere, fun food, a variety of drinks and a good happy hour.

Did my chicharrons just talk back to me?! They were crackling for sure! This is a really awesome place for food and drinks. We don't often come here but when we do we order something different. We are on keto so ordering chicharrons was a must, I just didn't expect them to be so fresh they were still popping! What a cool experience. Beyond that, the drinks are great - new beers on tap all the time it seems since they have a blackboard with them on it. The styling inside is unique, the floors are made from and old basketball court wood slats. Very interesting sports bar all around.

Go in for happy hour and get the ravioli as a start. This place always has a great selection of quality beers. Staff are super friendly, they high five a lot! Great place to watch a game as well, get there early to secure yourself a prime spot.

The Flatiron is a good place to catch a game. Lots of TVs, they're happy to try to accommodate everyone by getting any requests up. The beer selection is good and there's lots of fun decor, even the floor is the old San Rafael High gym floor. The space in the back is the most comfortable for a dining experience, as they do have a kitchen and food menu. Later in the evening, after sports have ended, the atmosphere changes somewhat drastically from a sports pub to a usually crowded bar of intoxicated characters. However, if you're headed there after the sporting hours, that's likely what you're looking for.
