Quick overnight stay. Send somehow they got more visitors than anticipated with bus trips even though we had reservation they had trouble finding a room. Eventually got word would need to upgrade to a suite which was of course nice but then that site turned out not to be a non smoking room which was not cool. Since just one night and already had dealt with the room search just decided deal with it... If course like usual no luck with slots.! Buffet was fine and nice seat by window for harness racing.

I attended the 2018 Secure Delaware Workshop @ Dover Downs Hotel. The ballroom and breakout rooms were clean and spacious. Breakout rooms were quite cold though. The signage at the registration table was horrible. No one knew which line to be in because the alphabetical signs were poorly located. Food was excellent. Wait staff was very professional and courtesy. Coffee, tea, juices, pastries, fruits, very nice spread. Can't wait to attend my next professional event there.

It's best to play at MGM, Maryland Live, or Atlantic City. Not many table games available. The open tables will eat your money anyways. Dealer always wins. Better rewards elsewhere. Buffet quality is average. Needs to catch up to competitors.

We stayed here for a show. The show was great and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. The king bed room is huge with office space for work and a sofa for relaxing and reading. Staff is friendly and efficient. Cleaning staff is outstanding! The place is spotless squeaky clean!

Had a blast here, first time visiting here. Played mainly in the poker room, really great people in there and meet a lot of cool people. The room was very clean they messed mine and my buddies room up but they got it straight the next morning, sure didn't stop us from having a good time! Buffet was good nice service. Could use a few more waitresses on the floors. But over all real great place to be.

Very nice, clean and very safe. You will need card for elevator to go on any staying guest floor. Staff is helpful, Food is great( My favorite was breakfast omelets are made in front of you) and Valet is fast and polite. Bathrooms are clean and Casino floor is easy to navigate. I will be returning loved it here.

I would give this hotel a zero or negative number if I could. I've stayed in two different room and both have smelled like cigarette smoke horribly even though the room has a sign saying not to smoke. I called and complained they said someone would come up with a machine and I had to be out of room for 30min. I waiting an hour no one ever came. I called back and complained again and they finally sent someone with a machine to "clean" the air in the room. The room still smelled and was a mix of smoke and chemical now. The room was not vacuumed because there is crumbs on the floor and toe nail clippings. It's ABSOLUTELY disgusting!!! I would NEVER chose to stay at this hotel again. Seriously what kind of housekeeping is done here. Very upset at my choice to stay here. Will not be returning after this visit.

This is an okay casino and certainly a lively establishment for the quiet Dover, Delaware. DD first timers, don't get your hopes up if you're looking for a large casino, late late night excitement or crowds (with the exception of most weekends). You may walk around in circles a few times looking for the rest of the casino but it's all the same small left turns. IMO it used to be much better but has unfortunately gone downhill a few notches at a time...but then again some locals love it!

This place is heaven for me. The best place to relax, play and eat. The best pizza, burgers and buffets. The games are packed with excitement. Don’t miss out the best part of your stay on earth. Be sure to visit Dover Downs Hotel and Casino.

Room was fine but nearly every time I have recently visited, the drink machines don't work. Really wish you had Coke products!! The casino is wonderful!! Great time!

Every once in a while it’s always fun to pull the hammer...I love wheel a fortune...I get so excited when that wheel gets to spinning! I also love the festival buffet...especially on the weekends when they have all you can eat snow crab legs...a real treat!!

The people are so nice. The food is great. It's clean and if you spend the night the rooms are really nice. I love the slots

Very well maintained, liked that they had a smoking section outside but still had games out there to play as well. Hit on the slots a few times and also on the table-games. Will be going back very soon for sure!

Dover Downs hotel and casino is a nice place to gamble your money away. If you're going to go somewhere and lose your hard-earned money, at least it's pretty and lots of lights. I like their slots and their hotel rooms are nice. Horse racing is also fun to watch with the family and the NASCAR races can be fun if there are crashes. Overall it's a nice experience... Just a downer when you lose your money haha

Always friendly, always professional. The Hotel is always clean, and the rooms are beautiful. There's shopping and good food available in the hotel plus room service. Do yourself a favor and make plans to stay at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino, even if you're not a gambler there is plenty to do in the area around the hotel.

I went to the casino to have dinner with my family at the festival restaurant where they serve all you can eat crab legs. The food was delicious but the service was a little slow in cleaning off our table and getting drinks. We did stay afterwards for a little while and listened to the band. We also played a couple slots. Overall we had a great time here.

This posting is for the 'Festival Buffet' at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino. I visited them today, April 12th, 2018, and was very disappointed with the selection of items offered on the buffet. The only good thing about today's visit was the view of the Dover International Speedway and the variety of desert items offered on the buffet. But for $18.50 a person, I would've enjoyed a better tasting dinner by getting something to go from a nearby restaurant and driving up to the racetrack to eat with 'Myles'! As you'll see in the attached photos, the items on the plate appear to be tasty, at least in my opinion, but the opposite is the reality. The only two items on this plate that have any flavor were the chicken & dumplings and the pulled pork barbeque. The vast majority of the remaining food was left on the plate to be thrown away. I'll not be returning to the 'Festival Buffet' to eat again. Period!

Dover Downs is a nice large Casino. Plenty of parking beautiful architecture. I did notice however that it is a non-smoking casino. I also noticed that there were no free drinks or coffee for players at this casino. Almost every Casino I visited with the exception of one has free drinks and coffee for the patrons that come in and spend money.

This is one of my go-to stops whenever I'm delivering or picking up a load in Delaware. Great place to overnight break for truckers. Ample parking for us, RVs, buses, etc. Machines are like any casino...tight one day, loose the next. But good selection and some newer games I haven't seen elsewhere. Table action seems decent. The Capitol Club (rewards, comps, etc.) needs to be completely overhauled. Probably the worst comps and offers I've seen. It doesn't even compare to most of its competitors. Out of all the casinos in Delaware, Dover Downs is definitely the better choice.

I can't speak about the rooms or service for all restaurants, but my experience was good. The bartenders at fire and ice were very nice. The live band was good. The waitstaff were nice and always roaming to check on drinks. The atmosphere was calm and well put together; as calm as a casino can be. I enjoyed my time there.
