Be ready to wait a while to be seated. It's totally worth it! The food and service are excellent. 100% authentic A good unfiltered cold sake or a Japanese beer makes the time fly while you wait.
I loved the food. Is so fresh and well done. I would recommend expanding the hours since is very visited and is always crowded. Maybe the image of the restaurant could improve but so far is my favorite
The sushi is so fresh and service is prompt. Almost always crowded and a line to get a seat but that's part of its charm. It's very small which adds a cozy atmosphere rather than Clostraphobic. The sushi is on constant rotary subway of a circular water channel built into the bar and floats each dish on a wooden boat. I've been many times and always have a great time.
I went here yesterday for dinner. It was great! The wait is a bit long, but it’s worth it. You can also get a drink as you wait for a spot to open up. Sushi is served in a conveyer-belt style that passes by your seat but the plates are on boats that float on water. Very cool! The staff was also very friendly and helpful for it being very busy. They certainly know what they're doing. The most you pay for a plate is $3.90 and the cheapest is $1.90. So price was fair to me. The place is a bit small for the demand, so be prepared to eat with people looking at you. Maybe one day they will expand. But all in all, it was a great dinner!
Above average sushi with a fun twist -- a lazy river that runs around the dining room with little boats holding small plates of sushi, etc. Can also order from the menu. Gets very crowded!
Katana is always five stars!! The way the treat their guests it's amazing. OMG and the little boats floating with the sushi are awesome! Even the ppl who go there are nice for the most part and the ambiance is really nice.
My absolute favorite sushi boat on the entire east coast! Very reasonably priced but the quality is great. You have to be patient with waiting for your seat as you are forced to watch everyone enjoy their meal while you wait but at least it gives you an idea of what to get it! Every time we are Miami, we stop at least once or twice.
Amazing chefs. Amazing format. Highly efficient. Only problem is people lingering when they're done eating. Doesn't take away from the food, and it is well worth the wait.
Excellent food, cramped space. Love Katana. You love it because it's hip. You love it because of the wait. Get there 15 minutes before 6 or prepare to wait 30 minutes. Best sushi deal on the beach.
