The start was a little rough but after that smooth sailing. The bathroom door fell off the hinges very abruptly. We switched rooms easily and the staff was responsive from the valets to housekeeping. My nephews enjoyed the pool and most kids were throwing fits when parents said time to leave the water. There is tons of construction going on around the adjacent property but there's minimal noise.

I really like this hotel and will stay again. The only reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is the construction next door that really is not this hotels fault at all. I am thankful they were able to accomodate my request for a great quiet room with a view. Great pool area with bar. Good deals. Good prices. Good location. Beach across the street. AND THE COOKIES! I almost don't want to give the review so people won't know this treasure exists.

Super nice rooms. Needs could be more comfortable though, I've slept on better needs at double tree. They have a movie screen setup by the pool where you can relax and watch a movie. Nice sized gym to work off the extra calories you gain from the restaurants in city place. Only thing I'm not crazy about is mandatory valet parking... It's quite annoying. Every time I forget something in my car I have to request my keys or have my cat brought around which cab be up to 30 minutes because the cars are packed in a sardine lot.

The staff at the front desk is friendly and welcoming. The room was always cleaned superbly by staff and the warm cookies are just the right touch. The room we booked was the corner balcony, and it was spacious with a decent view. All in all, a really comfortable stay.

They changed owners from Crown Plaza to Double Tree by Hilton. The employees are still great. But now it’s valet parking only on top of $25 per night to park. Not the employees fault but be prepared to tip every time you want to use your car. Terrible.. Also new owners got rid of ferry to Ft Laud. which used to pick you up poolside. (Pool is right of intercoastal waterway so that sucked that you could no longer do a cruise on the ferry.Hotel restaurant has good food at a high cost but that’s to be expected. No prob there because 2 great Cuban restaurants within walking distance. Again. Employees do a great job.
