We hired some help to do a yard clean up project and we were over the top satisfied with the job that they did! Louis and Constantino worked very efficiently and finished the clean up ahead of schedule! They met the challenge of cleaning up a yard that was overgrown and went above and beyond to trim branches, rake leaves, and level soil. I would definitely use this agency again!!!

We have been using the Day Worker Center for over 15 years. Everyone there is wonderful. We have hired many helpers over the years and all have been talented, problem solvers, hard workers and very polite. Now I volunteer there because the people are working so hard to make a life and I want to contribute to that. I'm so glad they are in my neighborhood. Don't know what I would do without their help. Wonderful place.

The Day Worker Center is great. The workers are hard working and knowledgeable. The center has a great sign up method to choose the workers. I requested two workers to help me work three days ahead of time, and the center came through. I had too small of a moving truck. The workers had alot of experience in loading a truck. I even had lunch for them but they didn't want to pause for a break. I tipped them generously. I just made a $65.00 donation to the center. $65.00 trains a worker for eight hours. The training will help a worker be independent, learn PC skills, and give him help in job seeking.

You are giving the gift of work by hiring someone here who really needs it. They vary in skill and expertise but our workers worked hard and finished the job well. Try it with an open heart.

I have used this center twice (or once rather and the 2nd time the guy who had signed up, never showed up). I have found that they significantly up sell the skills of the workers. I am happy to help day workers with earning some money, but just because they are a non-profit does not preclude them from being honest and professional. The first time I picked up someone, I was told he was very proficient in the task only to find he had little to no experience. The second time, the guy wanted to work on Sunday - I drove 20 mins to the center and waited there for another 20 mins and he never showed up. I left a message at the center about this and no one bothered to call me back to apologize or explain. I think firstly, the Center needs to be honest about their workers' skill level. The can only do tasks that don't require training or experience. Second, they need to follow up on each appointment with the customer. This will give them a better idea of the skill/ quality of each person that they send out. Otherwise, this will simply remain a concept that looks good on paper and not work in reality. They have a pretty home and yard they seem to have built with private company donations and/or tax payer money. Its time they earn their keep.

This was a fantastic experience! Feeling that I could trust a worker and having a place that set up the appointments, interviewed the clients and matched up capable and helpful employess took a lot of weight off my mind with a job that was too much for me. My imagination that i was a 1 day job was a huge underestimation of what I planned. I had a patio with tons of vines junk rocks to clear up and throw away. I had planned he would dig out 3 inches of earth, (dry with gravel- this was a huge amount of work-Miguel Moto- was my helper-he was so good, I hired him to finish my plan, he laid and prepared all new soil, set up a drip system, took out about 100+ pounds of more large gravel, organized all the stuff, i had chosen to keep in the middle of my pation for me to sort through, and was a a warm and intelingent person who I got to practice my Spanish with , ( though he understood and spoke English). I really feel very grateful to Miguel and the Day Worker Center of Mountain View, and will use them whenever I need garden help. I will research what other skiled people they offer and maybe do some upkeep and cleaning. In Short I recommend this place HIGHLY and you can trust them!
