Thunder Ridge

Thunder Ridge is 15 minutes from my home. Sometimes I'll stop there for a quick skiing fix, but more often than not I regret it. It's overpriced, crowded, unsafe, and much of the staff is actively hostile to the customers. The lift lines are slow and badly managed, and the slopes are poorly though out and, frankly, boring. Frequently, I'll drive by with the intent of stopping, but see the crowds and choose to drive the extra hour up to Catamount for a decent experience. The only positive thing I have to say about it (aside from how close it is to my home) is that the ski school is pretty good for beginning skiers. Everything else, though, screams "give me your money and shut up."
