Myself along with thousands of Italian concert goers have been anticipating yesterdays concert of Al Bano and Romina Powers for over 18 years. The italian super duo Al Bano and Romina were re-united after 18 years and playing at Casino Niagara Avalon Ballroom for the first time in 18 years. I called the casino and ordered my tickets months ago in anticipation of this day. Myself along with over 1000 others were turned away when we got to the ticket office to pick up our tickets. They oversold tickets and had no room. They offered a 150.00 dinner voucher in exchange for a moment and event of a lifetime for the italian community. People were left hopeless and crying. Tears were flowing from so many of us emotional italians that were turned away even though we had tickets. This italian music duo represented our youth, their songs have so much meaning to so many. This story should be told as Casino Niagara said this happens all the time for concerts. So they oversell tickets and then expect the people who are "SOL" to go spend money inside their casino ? SCAM? Illegal? Something needs to be done as there are so many italian canadians upset today with no voice to be heard! This story should be told and an apology from the casino as well as the concert promoters should be done.
