Won what was represented as an Authentic Autographed Jersey and two player pictures Shadowbox and told it was valued at $600 and therefore I had to complete Income Tax reporting. Later that same day had the Shadowbox appraised but was told the authentication needed a Guarantee of Authenticity card to verify it is real. Without this piece the value drops greatly. Went back to the casino and asked for the missing Card. Was first told, they were aware it was missing and I would be contacted "Whenever" they can obtain the card. Not happy with that vague answer contacted players club and ask for a manager. Marketing was connected and told me there would be no card coming and I could give the prizes back (as I don't want to pay taxes on something of no value). Took it inside and was stalled for 45 minutes waiting to have my tax form returned. After the 45 minutes the Marketing person showed up as stated now that they were no longer going to let me return the prize or return my Tax forms. At that I told them I would not take it and I will contest the form through IRS. I for one can not trust an organization that is trying to create client "Goodwill" by deceiving the public of the value their prizes are worth and at the expense of the winner's lack of expertise on the odd prizes awarded.
