This hotel was perfect! We were given this holiday by our children and grandchildren for our 40th wedding anniversary present and we have fallen in love with Venice. The hotel's position may not suit everyone but, for us it was ideal. Situated on the canal, you could get a water taxi to take you everywhere easily and quickly. The room was perfect, dressed in a typical Venetian style it gave us everything we needed and wanted. The staff were so friendly, welcoming us warmly even though it was very late in the evening. The bar waiter couldn't do enough for us, even to the extent of sorting us out some toasted sandwiches just before midnight. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. with a selection of almost everything you could want outside of a fully cooked one. As the weather was sunny and warm, we enjoyed having our breakfast outside in the courtyard. The desk staff were superb in helping us sort out where we wanted to go, giving us directions and a map to assist in our travels. We were even able to book a trip to Murano which collected us from right outside the hotel front door. I suppose if there was a little moan to be made, it was the fact that the hotel doesn't have a kitchen and therefore unable to produce any cooked meals. It is a very minor issue as within 5 minutes walk there were some wonderful local restaurants and bistros to choose from. our stay here was, unfortunately, over so quickly and we were so sorry to have to leave the hotel as well as Venice. I cannot praise this hotel highly enough as it suited us, being in a quieter area with more local native influences, perfectly and I would highly recommend the Al Mori D'Oriente Hotel to everyone who wants to enjoy a more Venetian Venice.
