I had booked a stay with Hilton Garden Inn for this particular weekend months in advance We reserved a book of rooms for a Family Reunion. Upon arrival I was informed they did not have a room for me. They had given it away and told me all they could do was put me in a non smoking room. This was not acceptable as I have strong allergies. They sent us to the Golden Moon Hotel down the road and we checked in there. The room they gave us was dirty upon checkin, so we had to request housekeeping come before we could even stay in the room. This was at 8 pm. The trash had not been emptied, there were crumbs on the floor and a dirty band aid on the bathroom floor. After we left the room, went back to the Hilton to visit the rest of my family, we went back to the Golden Moon where my stay was horrible. I ended up getting an ear infection from the hotel and had to go to the doctor and miss work. I was also very frustrated because I could not be with my family at the hotel and i did not get to visit like the plan entailed. The cleaning staff was rude. My weekend was basically ruined.
