Overview

The Celebrity Equinox is the second of five solstice-class ships in Celebrity Cruise Line’s fleet. It debuted in August 2009, but was extensively refurbished in May 2019. This ship provides a classic style with elevated elegance. Globally inspired cuisine, bold flavors, and one-of-a-kind experiences can easily be spotted within the dining options onboard. Le Petit Chef at Q Sine is a MUST DO! All the venues onboard are uniquely designed to offer more variety to guests and complement the latest trends. You’ll find incredible experiences onboard like glass-blowing, shopping, painting, wine tastings, and more! There is even a lawn on the top deck where you can watch movies under the stars.

The Equinox also has an adults-only oasis, the Solarium. This indoor pool is equipped with comfy loungers, hot tubs, and more to ensure guests feel relaxed and rejuvenated. If you need to take the relaxation to another level, then visit the ship’s spa. They offer a variety of treatments to suit everyone’s individual needs.
Fortunes Casino is on Deck 4 where players can enjoy Blackjack, Slots, Three Card Poker, Craps, Texas Hold’em, Roulette, and more. Classes on “how to play” are offered at the beginning of the voyage and then Tournaments are conducted throughout the cruise.

Small casino

Hello to my fellow URComped cruisers! I found the Celebrity Equinox casino quite small & very tight. Not many machines. The bartenders were few and in between. However they were nice! Silvia the host was very nice but did not see her much and she did not have an assistant that I saw. I did not hit any jackpots. My biggest payout was $516 on the Marilyn Monroe machine. The table dealers were not that friendly except for a gentleman named Lott. Ps...The casino is Non smoking! I would go back on the Equinox as it was a beautiful, clean ship! The food was great! Better than Carnival and MSC! Thank you URComped for another amazing cruise!!! Lexi, you rock!!

I agree as well. The casino is non smoking, but man was it tight! They also do not have any new style games to play. My wife and I were disappointed in their limited selection of slot machines. One of the workers told me at their last refurb, they remove almost 30 machines from the floor. The ship, service, food and cleans lines were all above my expectations though.

Same with us, slots too tight n didn't even let us play ! I don't mind spending $$ but would like incentive to play. Loved the cruise cruise but casino not fun

Just off Equinox..slots very tight..did not come home a winner..I did like the Hot Tamales machines..small wins but enough to keep you playing..loved the Buffaloes but it sucked your money…no dancing drums which is my favorite..loved the ship and would gladly return..never met casino host either..hardly played during last 2 days 😢

Went on Celebrity Equinox in November. Loved it! Lexi did a great job!! The casino was nice but didn’t pay any handpays at all! Would love to go back soon!

We didn't play as much on our Equinox cruise as we hated their slot machines. They was nothing new or exciting to play.

I’m a video poker player and was happy with the overall functionality of the games. I was disappointed in the time it took to get drinks 40 minutes was not uncommon and when I walked up to the bar had to explain that I had been waiting as justification for the bar tender being willing to serve me a drink at the bar. They also had a paired down bar menu meaning you couldn’t order certain drinks even if they were on the casino bar menu. It’s a shame because the ship is quite nice.

The casinol could quite possibly ly be the worst I have ever played on any ship across multiple cruise lines. I played buffalo gold, huff and even more puff, video poker, lots of texas holder, and some 3 card and blackjack. Biggest bonus win on slots was 43 dollars on buffalo with 51 bonus spins. On top of that, the casino has a bad beat 2 way on texas holder. Casino refused to pay us if we didn't beat the dealer and use both of our cards. Stopped playing it. Finally on last day casino manager said still waiting on word from corporate but I will pay the 240 your owed for a flush and straight bad beat. Overall, tight tight tight casino. I know everyone's different, just my experience.

Great service, nice ship.

The best attributes for the Equinox was definitely the staff. Literally I was engaged by every staff member as I was within 10 feet of them. Cabin, Food and Beverage staff were always accommodating. The pool deck was reasonably managed, other than some chairs being tied up for hours with no one there. They were 3 pools 2 in the sun one covered. Plenty of bars and lounges to relax or mingle. Lots of quality entertainment. 2 very impressive shows, and several other single acts that were excellent. Another great trait is the casino is located in such an area that if you wish to avoid on a particular day, you do not have to Traverse through to get to the theater or dining like so many other ships. Very good casino, if course since I won, and earned a certificate for another cruise. The only downside is some of the rows of slots need another 6 inches between them to get by people playing back to back. Easy on and off the ship, very organized.

Small And Tight

First, let me say a big thanks to URComped for booking this cruise. Loved the itinerary as we had not been to ABC islands. The casino was quite small and I’m glad that I am on the skinny side because the aisles between the machines made for some up close and personal experiences. I certainly realize that slot machines are unpredictable, but I just had terrible luck. I did however get invited to the slot tournament, and I WON!!! That redeemed my experience.

Beautiful ship Horrible Casino

First things first. The ship is beautiful. The staff is so happy and friendly and it's not forced! Ok as a gambler here are my thoughts on the Casino. 1. It is SMALL. machines are pretty outdated. They had a few newer ones like the three pigs but for the most part older machines. 2. On a sea day the casino doesn't open until 9:00am. WTH? 3. WE JUST LEFT Barbados at 5:30 as the previous ports. The casino does not open until 7:00pm. WTH? Ships opened 10 minutes after leaving. 4. The casino is 💯 non smoking! I loved not smelling of cigarettes at the end of the evening. I will say as a former smoker that may have detracted from the casino being busier, but don't know. It could be more due to the ridiculous ours they are open. This was my first Celebrity Cruise and unless things are vastly different on other Celebrity cruises, this will be my last. Jessica, I will most likely do more Royal in the future due to the fact the slots don't close unless in ports. I want to thank you for booking this but I do feel that an honest review is important. I do love URCOMPED

The ship, Equinox is old but in good condition. Good quality better than Edge!! Cason was very tight, small. And was full every night. People that won anything was never a big jackpot. Casino was so full you had to go to other bars to get a drink. Staff was very friendly. Only saw the Hit Danielle once she was never around. My name was not on the list for my free play and had to wait : days to get it. Glad I didn’t wait till end if cruise to collect it like I usually do.

Just got off the Equinox for a 3rd time in a year. Nothing has changed, casino was full every night isles were not large enough to walk through as chairs were literally back to back. Only a couple jackpots but nothing big!! And none were mine. Love the ship and staff but casino host is never around. I had an issue and had to ask for her and it took 40 minutes before I saw Danielle. But we had a great time with our friends and looking forward to the next one if we get it!! I appreciate all URCOMPED does for us!!!

Small and very tight machines

This ship was great. The food and crew were great. This casino was not it though. Not many “fun” games in my opinion and the ones that were there just weren’t paying out. Example I got the bonus with max bet 3x pay 25 spins on quick hits. $3.90 was my win. It was like that all week that is just the one that ticked me off the most. I know we chose to play and nothing is guaranteed but I’d at least like to enjoy my play time. After that I stopped playing. I’d of had better odds taking the $$$ top deck forward letting it go on the wind and running to aft to see what I could catch.

My favorite ship

There are a small number of slots and an even smaller variety of the usual slots as compared to the other ships 🚢, I’ve sailed on. The bartenders were limited but very friendly. The host was personable and you saw her through out the ship. I like the smaller ship feeling however, I wish there were newer slots and more of my favorites like Buffalo Gold and the wonder boost towers. I did win a small amount once in the 9 days aboard the ship and a small win on the 3D sphinx slot. Otherwise I spent more productive time trying to explore what the Equinox had to offer. Be careful not to remain too long on any slots as the payoffs are minimal and more money was lost than gained by anyone around me playing as well.
