MSC Seaside Reviews

MSC Seaside

Small, low variety
Casino is small. Low variety of slots and tables. Most dealers are not personable, makes play a bit dry. Pit supervisors are very friendly and Casino host is very nice. Not a lot of 'extras' or tournaments. No craps or texas hold'em (outside of the carnival style tables). No 6 card on the three card poker (only pairs and prime). Slots seem very limited in variety. Bar service is slow.

What a fantastic surprise.
What a great surprise. We got upgrade to balcony what a plus, food was amazing we only ate at buffet, ocean cay was spectacular, the crew was great, only gripe was very hot on ship not necessarily the room but around the ship, was very hot out side and doors keep opening but when rooms get Crowded then became hot. Another the guest are rude maybe they are European and thats their culture but not cool to be rude and cut in line.

MSC Seaside

First time and probably wont go back
MSC does a great job on embarkation. Very easy and quick process. The ship looked amazing when we got there. We toured the ship and found it confusing. For example, if you go to Deck 16 at the front, you can’t access the back. You have to go up to 18, cross, and go back down. The elevators are interesting, but don’t allow you to change where you want to go when you are on it. It became frustrating. The food was good but not much of a healthy selection. It felt that if you wanted good food , you had to pay extra. In fact, it seemed that they had added costs to most things. We did not get the drink package as we had free drinks in the casino. But, the servers were not attentive and the comped selection of drinks was slim. There is a serious lack of entertainment on the Seaside. There was some music but it was hard to find. Karaoke was good but the venue was too small. They had shows every night but unless you were a Queen or Michael Jackson fan, there wasn’t much for you. Ocean Cay is a beautiful island. The weather was decent with relaxing beaches. However, we were there for 12 hours. That is way too much time to spend with little to do. Nassau was fun but the excursions provided were not interesting or over priced. So, we rented a side by side on our own and toured the island. The casino was small with limited slot machines. They were pretty tight until the last night but even then, they did not provide winnings to the people who enjoy that pastime.

Small Casino - Tight Slots
Casino is very small. No craps, and slots are not as loose as other cruise lines. Bartenders are good, but didn't spend as much time in there as I normally would because there didn't seem to be many winners. I spoke to at least 25 other people, and they all felt the same. A bit disappointed...

Small Smokey Casino
we had ocean view room which was bigger than I expected. Room steward seemed a little over worked but friendly. The casino was small . limited machines for 5000 people. It seemed smokey in spots and very loud. It was hard to get a drink and we even tipped, better towards the end of week. Pools are gorgeous and we liked the south beach pool area. The whole ship is decked out in mirrors and silver, very pretty. Shows were very good.

MSC Seaside

Small Casino, overwhelmed staff
Ship was nice. Staff seemed to be overworked. Casino was small and little variety of machines. Roulette tables were always packed. Most of the time people would take seats at tables not playing. Would have been better if casino staff would enforce players at table only. Honestly I’m disappointed in the casino, and regret this being my first ur comped cruise. Be careful if you go as future comps are based off play. The threshold for a comp with MSC is 9,999 points, which is attainable if you plan to just put money on machines to get points that you don’t want to play. But if you enjoy playing certain types, you may be in the 2k to 5k point range.
