Overview

MSC World America is a next-generation World Class ship where European elegance meets American comfort, built to welcome up to 6,762 guests and more than 2,100 crew. At the helm of its debut is Drew Barrymore, whose warmth, charisma, and adventurous spirit shine as the ship’s Godmother.

Sailing year-round from Miami, this groundbreaking vessel features a Y-shaped aft that opens onto the stunning World Promenade, delivering jaw-dropping sea views and dynamic light shows every evening. Seven themed districts await onboard, each with its own energy and vibe, from the excitement of Luna Park to the serenity of the adults only Zen Area.

Entertainment and innovation meet at The Harbour, a sprawling outdoor family park featuring high ropes, a lighthouse inspired playground, and the Cliffhanger, the only overwater swing ride at sea. Young cruisers can also dive into fun at Doremiland, which includes bumper cars, a roller rink, and water attractions.

Foodies can explore 19 dining venues, including the first-ever Eataly at sea, indulgent specialty restaurants like Butcher’s Cut and Hola! Tacos & Cantina, plus two buffet options and multiple casual spots like the 24/7 Luna Park pizza and burger eatery.

Guests seeking elevated experiences can unwind in the MSC Aurea Spa or retreat to the largest MSC Yacht Club at sea—a ship-within-a-ship concept featuring luxurious suites, a private lounge and restaurant, and 24-hour butler service, all with exclusive keycard access and premium perks.

Indulge, recharge, or simply roam—World America offers a voyage that’s anything but ordinary!

MSC World America

Beautiful, but HUGE ship
The ship itself is beautiful, but it is huge and it is very hard to find your cabin the first day! The food was meh. Some days it was really good some days. It was horrible most of the days it was just OK. The casino was a lot of fun. We had really good luck the first couple days and then not much after that. We ended with about 1500 points. And we ended about $100 in the hole. That is including the $500 deposit/FreePlay -$500 big one we had on the first day. No huge winds here but it was fun. The casino has happy hour times where they give double points. I was amazed that MSC requires 5000 points for a free cruise. So we’ll see if I get any offers with my 1500 points.

MSC World America

Our First MSC Cruise
We sailed on World America last week using a urcomped comp. We did upgrade to the Aurea experience. The ship itself is gorgeous, very sleek and elegant. The room was a balcony and was basically a normal cabin. The balcony was very small. We purchase the non alcohol beverage package and wish we didn’t. We feel it was a waste of money, the options were scare and we did not know to bring our own cup so we had to use the small cups they use for water. We saw that most people were doing the same. The complimentary food option were eh. We did do 2 night specialty dining and those were both good. The casino… the hosts were amazing. I went on with no free play with my comp so using my own money left with over 26,000 points. I received a free suite certificate with the aurea experince and $50 free play. From what I learned from the hosts and talking to other players, MSC doesn’t have tier levels that you earn and keep. It is per cruise. So if I use the comp I received from my play and wanted to continue to sail MSC, I would have to continually play that amount each cruise. I just think their system is lacking the desire for players to continue cruising. We cruise monthly and with this type of system I will gear towards the cruise/land casinos I currently use, as they have annual tiers that keep you at a level and you can continue to build on that to get to the next. As far as game selection, it was ok. With 282 slots, I found a lot of empty chairs. Even Dragon Links, there were 10 and the chairs empty alot of the time. Games were also very tight, which I know happens but over the entire week and even speaking with others. Very thankful for the opportunity to have experienced MSC and not saying we will not sail again, just spoiled with other companies that better reward consistent high playing amounts and time.

Great ship, great music and entertainment, as well as, great staff. We loved everything about our experience. The casino was so much fun but, unfortunately I did not win big and that is ok! There is always a next time. I'm so happy that I had such a fun time! I met a great number of fun casino players and I did share to them to get in touch with URCOMPED!!!! It helped that you sent me the URCOMPED lanyards....great advertising.

MSC World America

This ship is not for adults
If you are traveling with children under the 18 or you were under 45 you will greatly enjoy this ship. However, if you are an adult traveling alone, there is almost nothing other than the casino to do during the day.

Okay
Food was a bit repetitive and salty. The ship was beautiful and clean. Always some one at the ready to clean a spill or clear a table. Loved that.

Another great World America Yacht Club Run
The ship itself is magnificent. So much to do you’ll never be bored. Having cruised numerous times on most MSC ships, the layout for WA YC is not so good. Doing away with positive features was bad. Larger YC guests but smaller pool??? The famous YC buffet is gone. Overall, we still had a great time. The casino was finally good!

MSC World America

Great ship, lacks of service
Ship is gorgeous. Great layout. Not so organized boarding time for accessible customers after check in point. Buffet foods were great in taste and variety. MDR food mostly great, but they don't check on us after they serve the main course. I ordered medium fillet mignon, and it came out well done and no one bother to check on it nor even ask if they could replace it. They ran out of vanilla ice cream most of the time at the Pizza and Burger place. Our room attendant was not very attentive. never introduce himself and we have to turn on "Make up room" for dinner time otherwise our cabin will not be cleaned. Disembarkation was a disaster, all passengers were piling up by the middle elevators area on deck 6, passengers with scooters/wheelchair had no way to get out from Hexagon restaurant as our meet-point. Casino dealers mostly were not friendly, strictly business attitude, on the other hand casino bartenders and servers WERE amazing and super attentive, most of them remember our names and favorite drinks. Meet-Up Event was so awesome, we were super happy that we get to join this event, slot pull was great and fun! We wish we could go on another meet-up in the future. Thank you URComped!

MSC's next generation ship World America is a don't miss!
This next generation MSC ship is beautiful. We had the luxury of spending the week in the Yacht Club so, we were spoiled. There is so much to do on this ship, you simply cannot get bored. The fee-based restaurant were plentiful and offered great dinners but the pricing for extras is a bit too much considering the entry fee. The Top Sail lounge was our go to place and was always good experience. We enjoyed most of the bars including Elixir and Fizz. You need to find the Speakeasy pub on your own. Its a secret but be persistent. It is worth the effort. The private island is a must and so much more relaxing than RCL's Cococay. OK: the casino is surprisingly medium sized. Smoke Free. The pays outs on slots was low with average being 10X-20X, only on higher denominations was I able to get a reasonable jackpot. Mixing up the denominations and multipliers on the slots was helpful. We got a nice comp on our play in addition to free play. This was nice. Sadly, we did not do much table play. Maybe next time. BTW, casino was empty on private island day and there were 3 days when the slots paid double points so don't miss those. Things to consider: Formula 1 race cars, Speakeasy, Queen show, throwing darts in the sports bar (AllStars), Elixir specialty drinks, steak at Butcher's Cut.
