Went with a friend. As with most casinos I've been to, no cocktail waitress to be found & that was me looking for one. Custodian steered me in the direction of self serve soda/coffee station instead. Not like I had a choice other than leaving casino & entering lounge area to purchase one at which point I wouldn't be able to play/wager. What would be the point?

Went to eat at the buffet, the selection of food is very limited. The staff could use more customer service training. Normally your drinks are on the talk before or shortly after you sit down. Had to go find a server to get drinks. They need never came to our table to clean or offer any service

Had a great time with my husband visiting this casino. Not as big an establishment as we have been too, but it's because it's on a boat! Very cute. Everyone greets you with a smile. Food is excellent. I am a non smoker, so that is my main dislike with most casinos. Other than that, we had alot of fun!

Very nice facility.
Very nice crew. The casino is right across the street from the hotel. Shuttle continuously runs. You will be pleased.

Eh? Not great. Not awful. I couldn't get a cup of hot tea at this place. The cafe said they to use the self service. But there are no tea bags at any of the self service areas. You have to get tea from the cocktail waitress.
Rest rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and pleasant.

Buffet is great when fresh, first visit casino host stopped in and like magic food was refilled/replaced, buffet staff was available and cleaning instead of hiding in back or huddled in a corner chit chatting. Ofcourse as soon as he was gone so was everyone else, but the food when fresh was great. Wait staff was great. Casino was nice and clean and fun.

We stayed here for a night and played a little bit at the casino on our way to Texas. We checked into a smoking room. The room was cleaner than expected, and didn't even smell like a smoking room. All of the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful!
Instead of driving we took the shuttle over to the casino. I loved the shuttle driver, she was so nice and cheerful, and full of life! She really just wanted to make sure you got to where you were going safely.
I think really the only issue was our server at the casino restaurant. She gave us our bill and disappeared shortly after we got our food and never came back to check on us.
Overall this was a great stop in our trip,.... even though I didn't hit it big!.. maybe next time. 😊

It is a very big and very nice casino. They have a wide variety of slots. They also have the best buffet in town. It is really delicious. The hotel is also very comfortable.

The machines can't receive money or ticket from another machine, slots very, very tight.
Played with my players card forever and never get any reward points. I've had 78
points for the last year and never increased regardless. Checked with casino, said needed email address. Not so nothing never
changed. My husband has had the same problem. We are very disappointed and do not and will not recommend Ameristar Casino to anyone not even an enemy.
