My husband loved hearing the story about how Bucket of Blood got its name. Everything about Virginia City, Nevada screams old west. We had a great time here. The history is amazing and my boys loved the wild horses running around town. .

Loved it, there was a marathon going on and the town was packed with so much energy that you couldn't help but get caught up in it.
We even took the old time saloon photos and they were a lot of fun. I'd love to go back when it's not quite as busy. I definitely recommend going, it's fun for all ages

The Buckets of Blood offers more than just a cool name. Situated in the heart of Virginia City, this old time saloon boasts live music on the weekends, slots and a full bar, and a wonder view over looking the mines. We make it a point to stop in each year on vacation for a few beers amd will do so for years to come.

Ambience was very nice-katering to the old west. Very nice displays of old coins and pictures. You could buy clothing, t-shirts and hats. They seemed on the expensive side. The owner said hello and asked where we were from. She seemed nice. The slots were very tight. We stayed about thirty minutes, and then left.

Cool place with a lot of history. Take some time to walk around the bar and look at all the old photos and antiques. The bloody Mary's are excellent.

One of my very favorite places to go even if I am in seeing a parade is the bucket of blood. I love David John and The Comstock Cowboys who perform there on weekends. Enjoy yourself and visit the bucket of blood! Eddie Floyd

If you go to VA City, go here. You will be mesmerized by the wild west memorabilia in this place...and, drinks are cheap and they have slots.
