Absolutely disgusting. There was no ladder so I literally had to jump to the upper bed. Also the bed looks so dirty and dodgy that I was worried about bed bugs all night.
Plus there were only two bathrooms and the drain was full of dirty hair which was so disgusting. Staffs were nice though but I'm not staying there again under any circumstances.

The hostel has an excellent location with respect to the train station and it is very reasonably priced. The staff are very helpful and polite.
Beware though, they have a serious bed bug infestation. I woke up covered in bites and squished several that were camping in the zippers of my backpack. Make sure you wash everything on high heat after staying here.

My 3 days spent at A Venice Fish was fun. The Hostel is centrally located and the staff was great! There was a traffic jam in the morning for the bathrooms, so shower the evening before, and that will help. The central room was a great place to meet everyone, share stories and eat. They served dinner for those who wanted to eat in, and the meals were very good.
There was a young american guy working there and he took all the beds apart to clean and disinfect daily. The sheets, and coverlets were changed daily as well. I figured out the washing machine and was able to wash some of my things.
Because of the central location, everything was an easy walk. Venice isn't that large of a city anyway. But the location made getting around to everything a leisurely walk. I enjoyed my stay, met so many awesome people and the staff was great!

Very similar experience to Lynn Van Hoose. Even though I had a reservation, they overbooked and sent me to another building. There was no keys to get into the building When I coordinated a time that I would be back to be let into the building, I hit the buzzer many times and was not let into the building. I waited outside in the cold for over an hour. I call the hostel and get another member of the staff who is out drunk. Finally I was let into the building. I refused to stay there another night. The beds were dirty and there was no wifi.

It's okay to stay here for a couple of nights, but that's pretty much it.
The people are fun, you get to meet a lot of travellers and it's in a very central location of Venice. You can walk pretty much everywhere you want to.
In the other hand, the hostel isn't as clean. The beds are old, there's only two bathrooms and they're both pretty disgusting.
I was there in June and it was very hot. They told us they would get fans for the bedrooms but that never happened.
Furniture is old, and dirty. I think it would be time for be owner to invest in this place again to make it better.

BED BUGS. This place was absolutely horrible. Forget the low prices at this hostel. It was discussing. Dusty, gross floors, bed bugs spotted in my bed in the middle night by my iphone flashlight (they're were many). Would have rather slept on the street. Ruined my Venice experience. Only good thing was location but not nearly worth it.
