Overall, I would say that my experience at chic could have been much more enjoyable at any other resort in Punta Cana. The reason for this is the people who work there. First thing you need to know is that the concierge who wears pink and stands or sits at the bottom of each building the guests stay in, will bombard you to attend a promotion that they will phrase as a gift. Which basically means, if you show up to a meeting where they pitch you a timeshare they will give you a Cabana for a day or a spa voucher. What they don't actually tell you is it is to sell you a timeshare, and that they will take your ID and Visa card and hold it for the whole meeting so you can't leave. Also the meeting can take up to 5 hours, if they are persistent. Which is a day lost on your supposed to be relaxing vacation. So you can imagine when we said no harshly for the 20th time to our concierge, he didn't take it very well, and was unpleasant the rest of the trip with us. We were lucky that another woman told us what happens if you go to this promotion and so we knew to say no. Another thing to note is the entertainment by the pool. The people who conduct all of the water aerobics and activities are very persistent in trying to fill each class they have, and are constantly on the mic repeating that. Which can be annoying after 3 days, since there are activities all day long and you just want peace and quiet. The diamond club is not worth it, we didn't do it, but everyone we asked who did, didn't seem to care either way. In fact, one couple who did the upgrade had $200 stolen out of their safe in their room. And my final and most upsetting let down. The water at the beach. Way too much seaweed in the water. I love going to the beach and being in and out of the water all day, and luckily we had one nice day to do that. But all the other days were unbearable with the seaweed. No one really swam the whole week we were there. One final remark: unless you are with a large group of people already in a party mood for your trip, the resort workers are too much in your face and insincere. I will say, however, that Carmen who works in the buffet was the most sincere, kind and pleasant worker we met that genuinely understood customer service without an ulterior motive. I tried to tip her as a thank you and she would not accept. She said it was her job and she was happy to accommodate.

I traveled here using a voucher from attending a sales pitch from their sister property in St. Lucia with friends. They did not articulate our request for the diamond club upgrade which we had to pay for once we arrived. This is a much older property and their amenities are lacking compared to their sister property. The diamond club upgrade was not worth it. The initial staff was not accommodating until we switched to another representative (Vladamir) who was awesome and provided us with 5 star customer service. Our Butler ("Manny"), once we finally got a hold of him was great. Due to their plumbing systems you can not use toilet paper in their toilets and they will clog up and overflow. We had a great time and made the best of it but I personally would not return. I prefer their sister property in St. Lucia where I received 5 star service and treatment from the moment I landed.

We went here for our honeymoon and it was INCREDIBLE!!! All of the employees were so accommodating and kind. We felt right at home! Our butlers, Johan and Tomas, made sure we always had everything that we needed and that we were enjoying our honeymoon. Our bartender/waitress, Esperanza, made sure that we always had drinks in our hands and also brought us waters to keep us hydrated. And lastly the vibe team and the fitness crew kept us entertained all week with classes and games. We couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon. THANK YOU ALL!

Great people but the facilities are lacking major maintenance. Phone in room never worked after repeated repairs. Jacuzzi tub dirty, after "cleaning" doors to jacuzzi didn't close properly and hardware on doors was in need of replacement. Roof leak water clear the brown around light fixtures. Still had a good time with live entertainment, but I would not go back because of the facilities. By the way I did the Diamond upgrade.

CHIC has a horrible staff. The staff was aware of the a/c problem before our arrival on 6/8/2018. We arrived to a hot hotel room. They didn't move us until 28 hours later. The new room wasn't better. The staff was rude and not accommodating. Then they lied to our travel agent about offering a better room and view. We have not received any money back and will NEVER stay at this hotel again. My trip was horrible because of this staff. And we stayed in the Diamond Club!!!!!!!

If I could give this hotel zero stars that would still be too many. The rooms in this resort were awful. I traveled with 26 women and issues ranged from roaches, palmetto bugs and flying ants in our rooms on a daily basis, to showers with no doors or curtains leading to actual puddles on the floor near our beds. We'd booked double beds however upon check in, most of us were placed in rooms with King size beds and a cot. And the rooms smelled of mildew and mold, probably because of the poor plumbing throughout building number 3. The food was mediocre at best. One positive is the butlers and front desk staff were kind. Even still, do not stay here. You will be very displeased.

What an amazing place to spend our week vacation. Francisco is the best chef. Also our concierge Junior made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The people were polite and friendly. Jeff (Sexy Jeff) was great at getting the night life started and was very kind, he remembered our names and made us feel like family. The atmosphere was stellar from the moment we stepped foot at the resort to the last day. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to spend their vacation in Punta Cana Dominican Republic. We will be returning again for another stay.

Only downside was I felt bombarded by salespeople. Don't get conned into their timeshare sales pitch. It starts with concierge taking you for a tour of the resort and then coaching you through the talk in exchange for a free 20 minute massage. It's a con that leaves a horrible taste in your mouth. Also, get up early to get a pool lawn chair or you'll be left out. Food was good. We had diamond club. I'm still not convinced diamond was worth it.

The service at Chic is incredible. Everyone there is happy to take care of you, genuinely. The resort is just as beautiful as the people! There is always something to do or you can just rest all day long while being taken care of! The food was amazing and so were the drinks! Can't wait to return!
