I always enjoy the Pizza at Dostal Alley . The Calozones are Delicious also . The staff is a bunch of great people that care and always great conversation with . I don't mind the 70 mile round trip for the Pizza . I've also had some fantastic luck aswell in there casino . Dostal Alley is a favorite.
We use to love this place. Is there new management?
We walked in and grabbed a beer at the lower bar and started playing slots. We spent about $50 before going upstairs to play some more. After spending about $20 upstairs we went to the upstairs bar and kindly asked for another drink. The bartender asked the manager ( who was a tall man, balding, with beard) if he could compensate us a beer. The manager laughed and scathingly said “ Not a chance, they would have to stay here all night for us to compensate them at the rate they are spending.” Irritated we bought a drink and made our way downstairs to play some more. The manager made a point to come downstairs to see the Machines we were playing and told the employment not to compensate us for our drinks. Must have been the rudest experience at a casino I have ever been through. No wonder there was no one in the establishment.
Friendly staff, great mini brewery which means great beer! Good food and lots of slots to keep you happy. Talk to Gregg and get a great history lesson about Central City...and other things.
We walked into this place- upstairs- and no one spoke to us even though there was a server/bartender working behind the bar. We sat at a table and order 2 beers and cheese sticks. The beers were average. The cheese sticks took 40 minutes to arrive and we’re warmly soggy. Needless to say, after a bite, we tabbed out and left. Glad we didn’t order more food.
I didn't have a drink or eat the pizza which smelled delicious but was able to talk to an employee there. It was interesting on how the craft beer was made, distributed and even poured. SMALL TOWN feel!
It was good. They were slammed because it was Independence day and the fireworks show in Central City/Blackhawk drew huge crowds... there was a longish wait for the pizza, but we had good beer to tide us over in the meantime.
