The Coast

Built as a scaled-down copy of the Eiffel tower in Paris, this tower is situated at the top of the Petrin hill and offers a great view from the top. You can climb the stair or use an elevator (for an additional price). But the experience is worth it, you should consider giving it a try.

The Coast

We were there in the winter, in February. It was nice, you can choose if you want to go up by elevator or if you want to walk by stairs. Upstairs there is a nice view but there is a glass, so not so nice photos because if that. Lots of people even in winter. In front of the gate you can buy some refreshments. It would be better to visit in summer, because of the gardens with roses. And maybe interesting to visit at night because there is observatory near Petrin.

Best views. Good solid hike up the hill. Nice walk up stairs. Different stairs for up and down so easy access. Tower sways which gave an exciting atmosphere. Would recommend!

The Coast

The best way to get up here is via the monastery. The walk uphill is a about 20 mins. The ground is hard and mucky in some areas. But the view along the way is beautiful. The best spot in the whole of Prague. You simply cannot miss it. Take a good look of the beautiful city from the tower. Then walk down towards Prague Castle. The best time to visit is early mornings or evenings just before sunset.

The Coast

Short version: Stunning view. We were there on a Friday afternoon. The weather was very good, clear skies and calm. We got good pictures on the way up and down and there was enough space for a fairly tall person. At the top there were too many people and no space to move around. However, there were some open windows so it was possible to take some pictures. I recommend taking photos on the way down, there are some good spots in the staircase. The only minor defect was that there was ongoing construction all around the tower. We got a student discount so the price was 80 CZK.
