Great location in the city. Just off the highway close to amenities. Great family hotel with a pool and watersides. Rooms are clean and typical for a hotel

Great place to stay. Pool and slides are awesome! The price of the rooms are totally fair especially considering the great complimentary breakfast in the mornings. Rooms are dated though.

Awesome place to stay as the hotel staff is super helpful and friendly. I hooked off hotwire and they gave me a really nice room with a jacuzzi once I got there because it was a slow season. All you I had to do was ask. I was pumped for the upgrade. Thank you Breakfast was alright too.

There for dinner in the casino lounge wing night! Quite busy due to hockey playoffs. Service was great, however the wings weren't (disclaimer wings) I'll still go back though. Great prices on Schooners of beer Wednesday!

The suited room with the steam shower was great! It was really quiet, didn't ever hear anyone else while in the room. The continental breakfast was amazing. The Italian restaurant had really great food. The pool was crazy busy the whole time we were there, but was still fun! The water was quite cold and one of the workers was a little careless with his squeegee, but the water slides were really fun! Would definitely go back!

I had family visit from out of town and recommended they stay here for the water slides. The pool closes at 10 so we headed to our room talking amongst ourselves and the kids were still giggling a little from just coming up from the pool. About 10 minutes later we had two security guards knocking on our door telling us that if we were not quiet that they would be kicking us out and keeping our deposit! We were hardly what I would call loud or disruptive. Needless to say, I was embarrassed to have suggested that they stay here! The hotel itself is badly outdated. The pool area is extremely dirty. The hotel staff were very rude and unapologetic. And my niece ended up contracting ringworm from the pool! Come Stay Play.....but only until 10pm

Good location, but very run down and in need of more than a little love and care. I was on the top floor and my ceiling had a large crack the entire width of the room, there was caulking used in the drop-ceiling in the shower to fix where a piece broke off, the heating and AC unit is straight out of the 70s and very loud, furniture was banged up and looked work down and dated. My room was missing a chair and the coffee pot had an old filter still in it. Cleaning was sub-par -- staff did a quick once over, not taking dirty dishes or cleaning the old coffee or if the machine. Staff was nice, but didn't notify me when a package came in for me, as I had arranged with them before I arrived, when I checked in and again in the day it was too arrive. Free breakfast was passable -- scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, potatoes -- but it was always lukewarm. Ask for a room not facing the pool if you want any chance at peace and quiet.

Avoid the Medicine Hat Lodge. The entire interior is dated, the waterslide looks like a health hazard, and to top it off the rates were far too expensive for what you received. For a business that is attempting to place an air of class and quality on their accomodations, this is pretty unacceptable. On a more positive note, the conference and ball rooms they rent out for events are consistently lovely, with great catering from the highest-end of the three in-house restaurants. If you're renting a hall for receptions, you cannot go wrong. However, for lodgings you can do much better.
