Stayed overnight on Christmas Eve and had a fantastic time. The food-buffet at dinner and breakfast-was great. The dining staff handled the surprisingly crowded dinner nicely. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The furnishings are fairly modern, but getting to a plug for chargers was challenging. The casino usually has lower limits than nearby facilities. Drink service was fine. Definitely check out the Christmas Casino!

Wow!! Felt like I walked into a winter wonderland. It was wonderful & really felt the Christmas spirit. Saw Christmas Story Musical which was delightful. Every person that worked there enthusiaric & helpful. Much much more than I ever imagined. It a must see for everyone & I'm telling everyone I know. I've worked for 3 casinos and non compared to Rising Star. Beautifully decorated & I will be returning. Thank you for the awesome experience. Played Video Parker & lost $10. I didn't care because I was in awe.

Rising Star has really changed! Moved things around and you can have fun & play! It's the most fun we have had there, in like 10 years! We had a blast!

Absolutely gorgeous establishment, appearance-wise. Decorated beautifully for the Christmas holiday! Awesome and talented bands playing! Pleasant staff. Very nice hotel rooms. Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Dining there was wonderful and delicious. Not thrilled about having to walk through smoking section of casino to get to the non-smoking... that isn't very well planned out, but everything other than that was great! Looking forward to our next visit!!

Good place to relax. Nice golf course adjacent to casino and hotel. I prefer to stay at the Lodge across from the main hotel-casino. Quiet, and smoke-free. They recently had a manager change, and they started charging for rooms that they used to comp. Haven't been since. Maybe when the weather gets nicer.

My rating of three stars only reflects my opinion of the casino. To me it's the least up to date casino in southern Indiana. It's very cramped and the machines are mostly older. For me, it's better to drive a couple miles up the road to Hollywood. However, if you enjoy a small, clean, and friendly casino with less smoke... This just might be your place.

There were 7 in our group attending the Friday night seafood buffet which was horrible. Pasta with dried chicken and too much cream with cheese sauce. First piece of Prime rib was good the second was cold and greasy. Pork chops setting in a bowl of grease. Under cooked shrimp, oysters not big enough to know they were oysters. At times a 20 minute wait for crab legs. Poor selection of deserts, too many out, ice cream machine running on empty or slow. Good thing we had comps for 4 of the 7 but $100 for the other 3, ridiculous. I've had better meals at Golden Corral for a lot less money.
Will not be returning for a while, second visit in two weeks, last weekend not much better.

Reminiscent of an old river boat, the casino is beautiful. You can get outside, on the top deck, and enjoy the beautiful view of the Ohio River and the surrounding countryside. The buffet is not as big as some other regional casinos, but the food is so much better! The shrimp is crunchy and flavorful. The fried chicken is delicious (like Dad used to make). This is my new favorite weekend destination.

Decent buffet, a lot better than some of the other casinos in the area. Not a bad assortment of games on the casino floor. A non-smoking section down stairs for those that want it, although you do have to walk through smoking section to get down there. All in all a place you should check out if you are in the area and looking to go to a casino.

I attended a catered event here and the staff that brought the food out were amazing. My table was joking with one of the caterers asking if there were going to be cookies and he said he didn't know but he would check and before we could stop him he was asking and 5 minutes later they we're bringing in the desserts. I wish I could have got his name because he was awesome! I didn't stay in the hotel but my friend did and said the beds were amazing. My only gripe is the fact smoking is still allowed, this would keep me from choosing this Casino over one that doesn't allow it.
