The Restaurant

Great for Sunday brunch. Come early to avoid a wait. They have mini donuts as a snack if you do end up waiting. The menu has many creative options and there are always a lot of good specials to choose from. We had a surf and turf burger which was amazing. The kitchen was very fast. Our server - Fallis - was very good, attentive, prompt, but not over-bearing. They are dog friendly on the patio with a cute little card that explains the rules, which are very appropriate, like don't feed your dog with our plates and don't put them on the chairs or table. Great spot for brunch. Everyone was friendly and efficient.

The Restaurant

Coconuts has a great vibe and lots of fresh air. We sat outside in the back an enjoyed the open view of the water while watching boats go by. The shrimp cocktail was ok but not great. The comfort bowl was not the type of food I normally enjoy but others may like it. For me it was just too cheesy and a bit bland. The rest of our food was awesome! Loved the fish of the day. It was very fresh and they did a great job grilling it.

The Restaurant

Cool place. Nice view to the marina with some impressive yachts docked near by. The food is nice - lots of sea food and many daily specials ranging from fresh and zesty octopus salad to heavier fare like cream cakes and other deep-fried things. Seems their coconut shrimp is one of the popular dishes and for a good reason - a good portion of deep fried shrimp in coconut butter is slightly sweet and juicy. The service is friendly and quick. A nice place for an afternoon drink and a quick bite.

The Restaurant

Our server, Paige, was awesome! Very knowledgeable about the food options and places to check out in the surrounding areas. My friends loved everything they ordered! My complaint-I do not like seafood so I was so excited to try my Comfort Bowl (Mac and Cheese). Nowhere in the description does it say that there are practically raw onions in the cheese sauce and fried shallots on top. Also, I did not find any chicken in it, but they said it was shredded and in the dish. For a place that takes the time to print the location of the oysters offered and tell you what their half-chicken is marinated in, I don't think it's crazy for them to tell you there were two types of onions in the dish. I ended up not eating anything, but the beer I had was delicious! MIA Mega Mix - an American Pale Ale from a Florida brewery. Delicious. :)

The Restaurant

My husband and ate there on July 14, 2018. It was suggested by our cool Water Taxi driver. She said it was her favorite restaurant. Thank goodness we listened. We waited 45 min for a seat on the water which wasn't bad for a Saturday evening. My husband had the lobster roll which is a regular menu item. I had the snapper topped with crab and a mango sauce (not a regular item - Chef's choice ) with the coleslaw. It was phenomenal. Portions are generous. Even the lobster roll which tends to be small. I couldn't even finish the snapper without my husband's help. The crab meat was just as plentiful as the snapper.I enjoyed the beautiful scenery of water, yachts, and locals boating in and docking for their dinner. I highly suggest you try this place.

Pool Grill

While we normally do business with the Pinch A Penny store in Lighthouse Point, which has a staff of VERY helpful people who have assisted us with property pools and various questions, we found ourselves needing some Chlorine for a Ft. Lauderdale property and figured this location would be equally helpful and serve our need. We drove there today, (Sunday.) but phoned before to ask the price of Chlorine. Sandy had to place me on a brief hold to ask because she said she doesn't normally work there. The answer she gave us was $4.84 or so not including tax for 2 and a 1/2 gallons. When we arrived, there were three people ahead of me so I waited patiently. I noticed another woman who came into the store and was staying near the front entry. When one of the three customers was taken care of, an associate with short hair and glasses left the back counter and went to the front. Unsure of what he was doing, I continued waiting on Sandy to finish taking care of the others in the back. I then turned to see if the associate in the front was returning, I observed that he was ringing up the woman in the front. OK? When he was done, I went up to him and informed him I had been waiting before the woman walked in. He did not apologize for being ignorant. I told him I just needed the 2 1/2 gallons of Chlorine and he asked about if I had a container. I informed he I did not and he said it would be $7.00 plus for one of theirs plus the cost of the chlorine. We have purchased 1 gallon containers at the Lighthouse Point store and have never been told to bring containers OR be sold one for $7 something dollars. When I told the associate about this, the only thing he said was he never heard about Pinch A Penny doing that. Well, I've never seen a million dollars but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. So, I bought their ridiculously priced container and also their chlorine but I will tell you we won't be returning to do business with this location again. I'd rather drive to our regular Lighthouse Point Pinch A Penny store OR pay Home Depot $3.84 per gallon of chlorine then set foot in this store again. Management, take note: train your associates who answer the phone to provide ALL of the information being asked and better train your associates to keep an eye on customers who walk in and out to know order in which to serve. Also, when you have a few customers waiting, teach associates to acknowledge them and let them know they'll be able to help them as soon as possible. It's not nuclear physics you're teaching them: it's called good customer service.
