Virginia City! Loved the town. You felt like you were stepping back in time in the saloon. The bar was beautiful! Drinks were reasonable. Server was friendly.
LONG wait for service. Six of us were seated quickly in saloon and given menus. But service went downhill from then. Requested water pitcher from four different people before receiving. Sandwiches were good and VERY filling. Large house salad also very filling.
Four of five toilets in woman's BR would not flush.
Food was delicious! I ordered the French dip and it was stuffed with meat. Side order of Cole slaw. The Cole slaw was spicy with bits of chopped jalapeno peppers! It was a good flavor that I was iffy about, but it was yummy. My hubby ordered the pastrami sandwich and that stuffed with pastrami if you're a meat lover and side Cole slaw. You get your money's worth and flavorful foods.
Nice place for lunch. Very, very simple menu. Only a handful of items. Sliders, soups and a couple other items. The surrounding is very attractive. Historic setting with large meeting rooms (great for weddings, business meetings).
We went in off season at lunch and got fairly poor service.
The ambiance was nice but two middle-aged ladies who were waiting on tables were obviously grumpy. Irritated at small requests. And our dining hall was only half full.
Food was decent. But the bad attitudes threw my lunch off a bit.
Probably won't go back.
The bartender was great tho. Maybe we just picked the wrong side to eat in.
It also took 45min to get 2 burgers. And they started turning people away after we were seated, so it can't have been getting busier for them. My burger came with a long black hair, and they were kind enough to not charge me for it and threw on a free desert.
