Outstanding quality of food, great atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and wide selection of dishes.
Bone in ribeye was just as tender and flavorful as you could dream. Sides were cooked just right: sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, lobster potato, and roasted carrots.
Vegetarian wife loves it, and two younger (2 &4) kids devoured their meal. All of the Greenbrier had awesome food, but this is our favorite. Pricey, bit well worth it.
Nice folks who want to get it right, with the food to brag about.
The staff might have been shorthanded. Based on prior experiences, this was unusual. There was a large crowd however and maybe this and perhaps some staff out with the flu might be one of a couple of understandable reasons for the lack of hospitality one expects from a place that is not known for taking just a little more than what it gives in win loss ratios. Given that it's a place where the most predictable odds are that you will leave weighing less than when you arrived, the absence of service personnel is disappointing, at least. I was playing for over an hour without a glimpse of a waiter/waitress close enough to notice my presence short of shooting off a rescue flare. This is just one more thing to consider in a place where the only guarantee is that the odds are you will lose your shirt if self control isn't in your nature.
