I have been to Churchill Downs 100's of times. The atmosphere is festive. The crowds are always fun to mingle with. People come from all over the planet to race and watch. Betting is easy with the WIFI apps available at this track. History is everywhere. You can get up close with the horses at the paddock. The seats suck so bring a cushion.

This was my first visit to Kentucky and my first horse race, to go during the Kentucky Derby was a great idea. The people at the race and in town where friendly and willing to help answer questions and give tips about places to visit while in town. Definitely going back next year.

Old school horse racing experience. The box seats are well worth it. Enjoy seeing the horses in the paddock and the post-parade. The food is adequate, and there are several places to get a mint julep.
The only thing that would have improved the experience is a betting primer.

The atmosphere is really nice. But, I would love to see a DJ or some type of live music coming in these colder months.

Great Museum, i called in on my way to Cincinnati. passionate people work here and they were really helpful.

Churchill Downs is run by the greediest bunch of folks you could find. They raise the already astronomical prices by at least 30% on Derby and Oaks Day's. They do 0 for the community and would like to have a monopoly over casino gambling in this state.

A place filled with history, I had a wonderful experience here with my FFA Chapter. We were there because of the FFA National Conference. We had the tour guide Barry (I think that's his name). He had basically grown up at Churchill Downs since he was a very young boy. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the track as well as all of the horses. He spoke very clearly as well.
