Visited the star with an overseas friend and my wife. Always happy with the selection of cuisine for both dinner and dessert. The Star is always clean, service is friendly and is great for travellers who either want a sit down meal or a quick bite. Price is reasonable, what you would expect for a meal in Sydney. We always recommend and visit The Star when we have overseas visitors.

Very disapointed with the service and the lies. I was told for the price I paid (not cheap) a 2 bedroom suite Pyrmont view and due to a special occasion I went for I would get an "upgrade" to city view. Was told both rooms have super king beds. Only one room was and second was a double so had to sleep on lounge cause my husband and I couldn't both sleep comfortably in the small bed. And the "city view was a view of another hotel and people in it. When I checked out this morning I wasn't even greeted on how my stay was and when I expressed my feedback not even an apology from the front desk or anything. Just asked if I wanted the manger to give me a call. After I paid I was not even told to have a good day or an apology. Very poor service compared too 2 years ago when I came and was treated with a smile. Now people work hard for their money like myself to enjoy a night that was booked 3 months in advance and was really a disappointment. I called to ask for the manger this morning and was told due to them checking out guests they can't answer my call and will call me back. How greedy I believe can you be to just wants people money instead of listening to people experience. Well at least James Packer continues getting money in and shows his staff how loyal they are to customers......

Went to see The Book of Mormon with a friend. Food choice was good, a little pricey though. The theatre was great, as always. The Star is undergoing some renovations (again). It always seems to be undergoing some form of construction work. Parking was expensive. We arrived early to have lunch and then stayed on for dinner. This pushed parking to $50. Overall, the visit was pleasant.

The star is a great venue. Has all the things you'd want. Yes, you can gamble, but there's more than that. Live music at Rock Lily, shows at the Lyric Theatre, meals at really nice restaurants or the nice food court, drinks at various bars, and the sports bar with all live sports on. Its a great time for all.

From someone who has worked here in the gaming sector I know a lot about what the star has to offer. The restaurants and buffets are amazing and offer a wide range of places to eat, including a food court for some people who don't have a lot of cash, and the options are still very good.
There are a lot of good bars inside the actual casino, sports bar being my favourite especially for the food.
For someone who wants there keep in mind that it's difficult to manage anything outside of the full time work including family or study needs just because of the odd hours.
Still a great place to work and I occasionally go back when I'm in the area

The lyric theatre is an excellent place to go for a show with lots of food options near by. The atmosphere and experience within the Star is also excellent, it can be pricey and obviously if you are not a gambler there is not much to do there. However if you love sports the sports bar is excellent.

Exciting place to be! Had ice-cream from Messina before the show The Book of Mormon. I wasn't sure if I needed my parking ticket to be validated. Paid $30 after eating, show, etc. Like I haven't received spent enough. Awesome place to be and watch a show. Very nice staff!

I went to the star city casino for a business meeting. I met my business partner in the foyer of the back of the casino. Where I was greeted with security and staff members. I found my way to where I needed to go very easily. We had a business meeting down stairs at the food court area where it was quite a busy place in the evening with lots of people coming through and staff members and security guards. Over all my experience was a five star rating.

We came specific for the ice cream as I had promised our son. They never disappoint. There was an exhibition on with old Ferrari's, which was awesome. Although we didn't have dinner this time, we've had a bite to eat many times before. It's always a pleasure to go to the Star.

We just went to the Lyric Theatre to watch Book of Mormon. Food was ok. Just ate dumplings. Theatre was nice and well laid out. Good size. Not too big or too small. And the show was one of the best I've ever seen
