We usually stay at a different hotel/casino every time we go to Vegas, but the Tropicana was such a great place to stay we might go there next trip, I had a great time at the casino and the room was clean, well lit and comfortable. Beds were great and I slept soundly. Even though we had neighbors you could not hear anything through the wall as in most places. Hotel staff was wonderful. Looking forward to going back!

Great City! Keep your GPS up when driving, allot of quick turns. Don't turn down Las Vegas blvd (the strip) by mistake. If so you will be in for a world of traffic! But definitely see the sites!

The Tropicana is a great hotel. Reminiscent of old Las Vegas. Everyone is nice. Valet is still free except on game days. One of the few original hotels on the strip. The only thing I miss are the tropical birds that used to be inside. It would be great to bring them back.

Spacious hotel room with large bathroom. Bed was comfortable enough achieved with extra pillows. Outlet available next to lamp for easy phone charging. Water in shower took longer than 60 seconds to heat up but pressure made up for it.

Very relaxing casino. Doesn't smell like smoke. Captain's chairs at every table and slot. Very bright and happy inside. No kids running around. A gambler's casino. Pool is currently being renovated as of 01/05/2019.

Decent hotel for the cost. We liked that it was a Double Tree to get our Hilton Honors points. Housekeeping was very very friendly and the pool is very nice. The buffet was reasonably priced for breakfast and the omelette station was very friendly. However, when we arrived at the hotel, our non-smoking room reeked of marijuana. We had to go back down and switch rooms which was kind of a hassle without any apologies. Another con was that the pool was closed due to bees and the only other pool we were able to swim in was the M which is 20 minutes away.

Had some mishaps last time I visited, and they did their best to rectify. Nice pool area and food venues. Not a ton of table games but it's not super busy so not hard to get in and play. Hosts are friendly and helpful.. A bit more relaxed. Older building, but clean.

Just returned home from my Vegas vacation and I'm already looking to return and return to the Tropicana Hotel. This was the perfect spot for us. Great room (we got the cheapest standard room), 16th floor with not the best view as it mostly overlooked the airport. But truth be told we only opened the shade 1-2 times during our stay. We were either out gambling, walking the streets, drinking, mingling with others or at the pool. Paying extra for a view was not needed. Unless you're going to spend a lot of time in your room looking at the strip their standard room is perfect. The casino was just right as well. A bit more personable, less crowded with the right amount of everything. A one minute walk to the MGM Grand and the strip is right there. Once you're at your hotel there is no need for a car, you can walk everywhere. The room itself was more than enough for me and my soon to be wife. We will be staying here again for sure.

If you are looking for a smaller hotel and casino this is a great option. Starbucks is located inside as well as multiple areas to get a lower cost snack or meal. Robert Irvine’s is a nice place for lunch or dinner and the casino isn’t overwhelming in size. The room quality is satisfactory for the cost. The pool area has nice landscaping and a quiet place to relax. You can enjoy breakfast on the patio overlook the gardens.

Recently remodeled. Rooms are a little small, but they were clean. Tropicana is one of the only hotels that still offer free parking, however, it is outdoor. Usually there is parking, unless there's an event going on. Tropicana is right across the street from MGM, a walk away from shooters, and a bridge away from Excalibur. I like the location of Tropicana and the fact that they offer free parking. Hopefully they keep it that way!
