It was a great pleasure to walk around the Windsor Castle though admittance into the main Castle was like that of an airport check which I agree is necessary. I can not but marvel at the grandeur of the whole setting, it's simply Magnificent. What a lovely experience!!!

It was an interesting and informative experience. We took some guests who were new to Windsor and they were very impressed. The only gripe is that we wanted to see the Doll's House but it was shut.

Simply one of the most impressive castles in the world, and all the more cool when the Queen is home (the flag tells you). Get your tickets online, arrive early, get in the smaller non-group line, and be the first ones through security for almost a private tour experience as long as you stay ahead of the crowds. We did exactly that a month after the Royal Wedding, and it was awesome!

Beautiful fall visit, nice audio guide and beautiful grounds. Was travelling with guests who had suitcases - no lockers / storage at the station, and cloakroom at castle is deep into the grounds well past security.

One of the most iconic and beautiful places too see. History at it's finest. Excellent grounds. The displays in the interior are so interesting and of course the guard changes. Great little shops too. St George's chapel is a wonder

Loved the visit to the castle though I had hoped to hear more about the defensive design and why it was built as it was. The tour is very thorough at the other aspects of architecture and history. St. George’s Chapel is magnificent to view. My favorite room in the apartments was the Waterloo as well as the magnificent displays of arms that are shown. ONE WORD OF ADVICE...they close the tour around 4:20 pm or so and you will be rushed through it. The line to get into the castle takes about 1 hour 45 minutes, so plan accordingly. My coworker and I saw it together and he stood in the line while I shopped the local area and then we traded off. That was a good way to spend the time. Many good shops and restaurants in Windsor and obviously the tourism thrives. IT WAS VERY FAMILY-FRIENDLY. Cheers!

Visited during December 2017, Such a beautiful place, staff were super helpful and informative the moment we stepped into ticket office. From entry to exit, you could see everyone was passionate about their jobs. It only made visiting the castle and grounds more welcoming and special. We ran out of time to visit the whole place, we will definitely have to come back in a few years!

A really good and interesting day out. Best to book and print tickets to take with you to beat the queue. The grounds and Castle are lovely even though the grass was weather beaten when we visited. No photos allowed in the buildings for security reasons! Well worth a visit

Visited on a Thursday after buying tickets on line expecting the place to be heaving. Quite the opposite. we arrived just before changing of the guard and were able to move round freely to get the best vantage points and photo's. Then moved on to St George's Chapel - outstanding but no photo's. Following this we moved on to the doll's house do this first as you can then move straight into the State Apartments. Other way round and you have to queue twice. We then wandered around the grounds. Be aware that individual guard posts are always being changed and the marching squad moves out the way for no one as one Japanese tourist found to his cost. Sauntering along he was suddenly balled at by the Sgt of the squad coming up behind him. Wonder he did not have a heart attack. Great fun for everyone else though. cannot comment on the round tower roof as it was not open. An absolute marvellous day with good weather
