The Jockey Club de São Paulo was founded in 1875 and has its headquarters moved to the district of Cidade Jardim in 1941. Since then it has reflected the horseracing and society events at high levels. The stands are imposing , there is not a better way to spend a few hours enjoying the sun. It is a place where adults and children can admire the colourful silks and watch the elegant animals competing. There is plenty of space for children to play, bars and restaurants for refreshments and good food at all price levels. In the summer nothing can compare to dining in the 'varanda' having the city's skyline and the races to enhance the atmosphere. The entrance is free and many bus lines do the public transport. A visit to the Jockey Club is strongly recommended.
