First visit, last visit. Never go there again.
Have you ever heard the saying: If a drawing is pretty that does not make it a masterpiece or just because it has a label that that does not mean it is made with quality. In both cases that what you get at the Bellagio. A hotel that is pretty when you walk in, a hotel with a name plate. The quality and service stopped as soon as you checked in and gave them your credit card.
Way over priced for the services. This hotel is not family or customer orientated. To me it appeared they only cared about profit and charged you for everything. There was not one water drinking fountain. I make good money and can afford it, but I do not throw my money away. I was going to stay longer, but checked out after the second day. You pay for the value and service you, however in this case I got neither. In other words, for half the price I could have stayed at another location on the stipe and got just as much.
Example, a 5 or 6 dollar drink in Michigan (Bourbon and Coke) cost 23 dollars at the pool when you order through a waitress. Coffee was 4 plus dollars, and it tasted bad (Bitter no matter if it was decaf or regular). No coffee maker in our hotel room forcing you to go down stairs.
Average breakfast price for one person 22 plus dollars, and it was nothing special. Oh, I tried to get my eggs over easy and they could not get it right, tried twice. No complimentary continental breakfast but rooms costed $600 plus a night. No complimentary anything. Even when we checked out they did not ask us anything, just please check your bill. There was no thank you for coming, they did not ask did your stay, how can we improve our services. Nothing, as if they did not care.
There main pool was closed for the season so they crammed most of us around the other remaining pools. The staff at the pool gave us a hard time because we asked them to help us move out chairs to the area where it had sun.
I walked through the casino four times during different times of the day and night, I heard no bells or yells of anyone winning anything at the slot machines. At least at the Casino's in Detroit I would hear someone scream because they won something.
I do not smoke and it was difficult because there was no place where they did not allow smoking in the casino. Also as I passed a few bars in the casino, there were hardly anyone in them so they had these people stand outside and ask you if you wanted a few drink. Excuse me, but could they not have offered you complimentary drink at the front desk by giving you a card or such,,,, not have people stand in front of the bars like beggars at a street corner asking for your money by trying to get you to go inside with a free drink. How cheap.
Bottom line, I have gotten better service and food at McDonalds or Motel 8.
If you have a family this is not the place to go. Stay at the Hilton or another hotel in Old Las Vegas. If you must see the Bellagio because it was in a movie (Ocean 11), then drive there and walk thru it. After you walk thru it, you have seen all there is. If you are expecting service, this is not the hotel to go to. If you must stay there, then stop by a food store and get a few drinks and snacks and take them to you room during the day. Go across the street to the mail, you can get better service, food and drinks at a better price.
