This place is perfect. The service is excellent, the location is great. It’s not too big to have that small hotel charm. I can’t say enough good things about it. Will be back again and again.

Nice hotel, but the location of my room was not acceptable. Room 102, 1st floor. Across from elevator, next to main lobby, bar and maintenance closet . Through out the night I heard the grandfather clock chime, A/C kicking on and some high pitch noise. Then starting around 5am I believe the workers started setting up for the day. All kinds of random noise, plus guest starting their day. Staff was friendly, great hotel location, but I would recommend the manager stay in room 102 to understand what a guest is hearing.

There are not enough Stars for my favorite hotel in Galveston. Right next to the Strand and all the fine dining experiences classic Old World hotel with modern amenities excellent service bright and clean just be prepared to pay perfect place to stay if you're going on a cruise. Parking is free while you're gone if you stay there before you go and when you come back. That's quite an offset to your hotel bill

We had a very positive experience. We stayed in advance of a cruise. The hotel is beautiful and nicely appointed. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, tall ceilings. The staff was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. They offer valet, a courtesy shuttle to the port, and have a Cafe, rooftop bar, and a nice lobby bar. Nice lobby area, walkable to several restaurants, boutique shops, and tourist shops. Walking to the port is possible for dining and sightseeing (not recommended to drag your luggage along though).

We went for the rooftop bar. The view and atmosphere were very nice. It was a cool evening, so they had the heaters on. I did not purchase a drink because they were too highly priced for my taste. (Signature cocktails from $10-13). But the friends I went with enjoyed their drinks.

Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Customer service is excellent. Delightful rooms. Excellent food in the cafe. Loved the roof bar.. go and enjoy 😄

I am editing my review. This was a place I would always bring people when they were visiting from out of town. We loved to go up to the Rooftop bar and enjoy a drink looking over the city. I don't know if there is new management but the past two times my wife and I have taken people here we had a disappointing time. The past two times we came in the evening, as we were sitting down at 8PM we were told that the bar was going to be closing early due to extreme winds knocking drinks out of the servers hands... This was just this past weekend 05/13/18, look up the weather in Galveston that evening. It was a beautiful calm Sunday evening. When the server told us that they were shutting down early because of the weather our group of 10 where completely baffled. This being the second time this has happened to us our only conclusion is that the staff at the Rooftop Bar don't like to work in the evenings. I'm giving this two stars because we really liked this place! I hope they make some changes so that we can enjoy drinks looking over the island once again.

I love this hotel and will always stay here when visiting Galveston. Our King Suite was wonderfully appointed. We took advantage of the lower mid-week prices, making our stay very reasonable so go online to look for their specials. Located one block off of The Strand makes it super convenient for our needs. Sunset on the roof top bar is spectacular and breakfast was more than adequate (Yummy Eggs Benedict !) Parking is a problem in Galveston so take advantage of the Valet parking. Definitely my favorite hotel in the state !!!
