Located in Penrith Panthers, a very nice restaurant with good food. There was a group of six of us for dinner and we ordered the banquet. This was more than enough food for all of us.

Got the peaking style chicken. It was nice, but a little dry. We ordered Mongolian lamb, but it never came out. However, it worked out because the chicken portion was huge. Thankfully they didn't charge and cancelled the lamb. It came out at a decent enough time, but the restaurant was empty when we went so keep that in mind. I read other reviews and have noticed some of the same problems. Thankfully, the experience was positive overall. Staff were polite to me at least,

We attended The Ming for my birthday and had the Royal Banquet, and despite being grateful for accomodating us without a booking, the experience as a whole was heartbreaking disappointingly. The vegetable dishes were fresh, however the rest was ultimately bland and unmemorable. The deep fried ice cream was still solid inside and lacked an anticipated crisp which brought the night to a stuttering end. The manager did address this and give us a refund, and we have to acknowledge the excellent service from Kenneth who went beyond expectations to turn our experience around. At the end of the night, I just couldn’t justify the per person cost for what was delivered, and I can’t see myself ever returning to give it a second chance when Penrith offers such a diverse palate of culinary options that I believe are much better value and quality.

I've found that the food and service is consistently good. High quality ingredients, tasty and fresh. The food always comes out quickly. The staff are attentive and polite. The Ming is an excellent location to watch the sun go down of an evening. We've tried many Chinese restaurants since moving to Penrith three years ago and have found that this is the best. It also has an excellent group menu and a separate room for events.

Not our first visit, but now probably the worst Chinese restaurant in Penrith in our books. Fish was clearly cooked from frozen and hard as rubber. Overall taste was very average. Wait staff, although young and enthusiastic, were a little bit inept - forgetting an order of table water, leaving extra place settings on the table, not removing extra chairs. Also we were not even greeted on arrival with a simple good evening - 3 staff at the entrance were busy over a single customer while we waited in clear view immediately behind. Won't be coming back.
